Stayed only one night, but our dorm was well equipped with fans, and the beds were comfy. Very friendly staff :) cute and reasonably prized pizza joint adjoining the hostel - perfect for a lazy dinner

Meeting Point hostel in Barranquilla is exactly that, a perfect meeting point for travelers. There are different common areas, shared kitchen, all in a nice house that really makes you feel at home. The owners are very friendly and helpful. If you are passing through Barranquilla, this is a great place to stay!

I got here at like 11PM and left the next day at 4AM so my impression is obviously limited. My first advice is if you are coming to Baranquilla just for the airport, save yourself the money and sleep at the airport!
For people not familiar with Barranquilla, while it is a very large city it is very not touristy (except for a big Carnival). As such, the Meeting Point's backpacker-orientation is surprisingly good given there's not much reason for there to be a strong backpacker culture in Barranquilla. Beyond a good mix of characters, the hostel itself is nice (with a great backyard), there's a pizza joint next door, and the staff are quite helpful.
backyard, surprisingly good atmosphere for a not very touristy city, and incredibly helpful and friendly staff. Good pizza next door. Price is OK but there's not much hostel-competition in the city to drive down rates.

The staff is very welcoming, always available if you need anything, and this is one of the best neighbourhoods in the city, safe and with typical Colombian houses !

The hostel is clean and the stuff is super friendly. Everthing is nearby and also a pizzeria with real italian pizza is there. For chilling and enjoying barranquilla is it perfect. Grazie per ospitarmi.
