What People are saying

Terrible experience

krishamehta on 22/11/2017 17:20

Arrived in the evening and was told they had made an error and overbooked. They told me I had to go to another hotel 15 minutes away. Pathetic customer service. Rooms were cold. Hotel is extremely noisy with parties in other rooms everyday till early morning. Would not recommend staying here at all.

It's just ok

The hotel is central and definitely popular. Room was clean but absolutely no view. Hotel quite noisy. Staff polite. There was a mix up by the hotel over our bill at the end of our stay which was embarrassing and all conducted at the public reception area not a pleasant experience. We would not stay here again. But if your looking for central basic and clean then there's no problem with this hotel.

Enjoyable stay

My daughter and I stayed at the Morgan. We arrived at 8:30am and surprisingly our room was ready and we got a free upgrade. The room was large and clean with all you need for a comfortable stay. The bed was very comfy. We look forward to going back.

2 day break

Me & the husband have come to stay in this hotel The Morgan all we have done is complain and that is not us at all, 1 are room is cold we have asked 2 times can some 1 fix it to make it warm, the sink in bathroom keeps getting blocked and is leaking onto floor all they have done is put bath towel on floor which we could of done, some of the light bulbs don’t work which so you can’t put your makeup on proply, we was on 1st floor and our room backs on to a back path so we got a lot of drunks goin by there is no view just an old grey building (scruffy) it is, on arrival we asked the tall fella on reception we’re was nice to eat he told us, we asked could he book for us that night he said would see would he could do but never got back to us just little things like that puts us off poor attitude. On a plus only side the bar area was the nicest the music was great drinks were flowing cocktails from 12euro but we never ate at the hotel ! Would we come here again NO we had breakfast at Rebeckas omg was fabulous big portions and we ate at the elephant and castle food there was amazing both places on the same street as hotel so not far to walk, then we just done loads of walking sight seeing shopping etc ! Don’t forget this is the Main Street so it’s very busy with pub to pub & loud music great for the young 1s if that’s what your coming to Dublin for hens or stags !

Cheap hotel trying too hard to be cool

This hotel is so not worth the money. Check in is at 3pm but our rooms weren't ready. When we finally got a room it was freezing cold (apparently they don't turn the heat on until 6pm?), water damage, and there were holes in the ceiling and the walls. There was even condensation inside the pictures, and an apple that was in a dirty dish and had clearly been sitting their for ages. When they finally gave us new rooms (after a lot of discussion...) they were nicer but still not up to a 4 start standard.

The bed was hard and uncomfortable. There are no movies on the TV, only basic channels. The tea/coffee tray in the room was the most basic I've seen. The bathtub/shower filled up with water and didn't drain so I had to shower with my feet underwater.

We never received an apology for the inconvenience of having to wait for our rooms, let alone all the other crappy things.

The bar is also NOT worth the money. It's not classy. They serve drinks like you're back in university.

I do not recommend staying here.
