Very positive surprise
Suppiluliomason 11/10/2017 17:36We stayed here for one night, coming from Naples via Castel del Monte, to catch a flight back home on the next day. The Hotel is in the outskirts of Bari in a typicall apartment block neighborhood, but not in a bad way. Lots of people out in the streets in the evenings with lots of bars and restaurants. It requires a short taxi ride to get to the town centre. The hotel is rather big and modern. A typical business place where conferences take place. The room was okay with a balcony looking over the city. It was clean and well maintained though not the most modern interor. Breakfast buffet left nothing to desire, quire luscious for an Italian breakfast.
Very Good For Our Two Night Stay!
Bellefioron 09/10/2017 15:03Room was the largest we stayed in during our Italy trip, and I also had the best night sleep here during our entire trip. High up floor guaranteed quiet. Free slippers and bathrobes. Comfy bed, excellent breakfast buffet. Be forewarned however, that this seems to be more of a hotel for business people (my understanding is it was previously a Sheraton Hotel) rather than for tourists. It is not in the city center or the old part of the city that tourists go to, so a bit off the beaten track. Well placed to get to airport quickly. Indoor pool, jacuzzi and fitness area are a nice bonus. Excellent housekeeping, good and fast laundry service. Nice bar area with reasonable prices. If you need a cab they will get one for you. If you are looking for conveniences, this hotel has them.
Deducted one star for a couple of reasons. Outlets awkwardly placed in rooms (could use a few more, especially near the bed). Maid would shut off AC when she cleaned room so after a hot day of sightseeing, we would come back to a stifling room. Hotel does have wi-fi, but be aware if you are using it, it is a completely open network, no password required. Also, safe in our room was left open by previous occupant but bars engaged in the locked position. We had someone come up to try and fix it, and when he couldn't, someone else was supposed to come up and do so. He never showed, not even after we called down to the front desk and were told someone would come up. We didn't feel like waiting around (especially given the limited amount of time we had in Bari), so we ended up not using it and just locked our items in our suitcases when we were not in the room.

One of the best among many stays in Italy
Rockroll Oon 02/10/2017 10:28I liked the hotel from the first moment. It is located in a residential area in Bari.
Had a room on the ninth floor and stayed for 4 nights, as a base of visiting Puglia.
The room was clean, the bed and pillow very comfortable (I am very attentive when it comes to the comfort of the bed and pillow).
Quiet at night, small lovely balcony.
The breakfast was surprisingly delicious and so rich for an Italian breakfast.
Fresh seasonal fruits (strawberries, melon) very good croissants, omelette, cereals, fresh orange juice.
I like hot chocolate and this was a minus, as only one morning I got a truly delicious one, all the other times it was not good at all and despite asking for a better one I didn't get it.
One evening I ordered a chocolate panna cotta in the room, it was not tasty, it was a panna cotta with a spoon of Nutella on top of it, not close at all to the delicious panna cota we are used to eat in Italy.
Tiziana from the reception was very lovely and communicative.
Despite these minor issues we were satisfied with our choice and would return anytime to Nicolaus.
Great one night stop
rweaver76on 17/09/2017 17:00We arrived around 10pm straight from the airport and had a great, functional and comfortable room on the 8th floor with a cot for our toddler already out so we could throw him straight down. Didn't try the restaurant but got takeaway pizza from next door and enjoyed it in the room thanks to a handy table and reasonably priced mini-bar. Breakfast was a great buffet with great choice of breads, pastries, fresh fruit, pancakes, meats and cheeses and even some cooked options with amazingly tasty cannelini beans. Although it's out of town in a sort of nowhere district and is clearly geared up as a business or event hotel, its location and services meant it was a perfect one night stop for a family straight from the airport.
