My hubby took me to the O Hotel for my 50th birthday.
The first impression was of a small, quaint, boutique type hotel. Actually, it's more like a 5 star.
It has all the perks of a 5 star, without the price tag.
The breakfast is a good spread , enough variety for different tastes.
The room was spacious for 2, with a glass walled bathroom. Good for couples, not for anyone else.
I enjoyed the spa, and we tried our luck at the on-site casino.
But the icing on the cake was the location. Candolim beach is relatively cleaner, and with a better crowd, than Baga or Calangute.
As you exit the property (beach side) you find yourself steps away from the famous Calamari shack. We had a few meals here. Excellent food.
I'd definitely stay at the O again.

We stayed here in the first week of June 2017 as a group of 5 friends with Family.
The hotel is nice as far as location, access to beach front concerned but I feel there is a lot of scope for further improvements...
Location

The hotel is located in a main area of Candolim and hence everything you need like plenty of restaurants, necessity shops are available just outside the hotel.
Hotel Property
===========
The Hotel Property is spread vertically from the main road up to the beach front... One has to keep on looking for the sign boards as it's very difficult to locate the entrance easily. Management need to look into this aspect. Whenever we moved out of hotel with our cars we had to keep in mind a landmark to locate the hotel easily. The front side has a porch and an entrance to 24 hours open casino. The Reception is located far inside almost 100 to 150 metres away. I found entrance very congested. Parking has a limited space and many a times we had to hand over the car keys to security to park the cars as and when the space was available. All the rooms are located in a vertical line facing each other with nicely maintained greenery in the middle. Basically the hotel is ground + 1 floor structure; separate 2 buildings facing each other.
Rooms

Almost all rooms are equal that's what is my guess except for the suites located at the beachside end which has personal swimming pool. But, I honestly feel this is the area of concerns and need immediate attention and improvements. Rooms are as such good but do not suite to the class of hotel (I guess this is a 5 Star property). Rooms lack enough space. The management has tried to work with the theme of old homes with big box and personalised bar in a old styled designed furniture but which I feel is not much convenient and the box is useless which unnecessarily occupies the room space. Room interiors also need lots of improvements compared to the class. The balcony doors locks were not in a working condition. Bath tub had cracks. The bathroom too needs a separate shower area which is missing. It's just a toilet, wash basin and a bath tub.
Swimming Pool

Pool looks good but size is very small and I guess the depth is also limited. But, the lawn spread across from pool area up to beach entrance gives a pleasant feel.
Food / Restaurant
=============
There is only one restaurant available in the main building after the casino. Through it offers limited space, it's nicely done. We had a Breakfast plan included in Tariff. Breakfast options were limited but good with South Indian dishes like Dosa, Uthappa available on demand and then regular Indian dishes with Bread Butter and Fruits option...
Once we ordered dinner in our room, which we did enjoy a lot...
People/Staff

All the hotel people right from Security, Reception to Room Service found to be very supportive, ever smiling and helping at all stages you needed them...
Overall to summarise, it's a good hotel. We enjoyed our stay though I said there is a lot of room for improvements....
But, one more thing it was a Value for Money for the price we paid...

hotel is good with staffs and rooms are well enough with all amenities and pool is quite small and highlight is you will get a private beach which is attached with the hotel all you need is just walk near backdoor you will find a good beach

We stayed there for three nights. we visited as a family consisting of two adults and a child. The hotel location is very good. There is direct access to the beach.There are good eating joints, hangout spots, necessity stores, car rental just outside the hotel. There is a 24 hour casino also. The hotel stuff are very polite and always ready to help. Special mention to be given for the buggy guys (Sandesh) and the security at the front. The breakfast spread was not vast but tasty. The restaurant staff was also very courteous. The housekeeping team was great and was available any time of the day. The hotel has a superb Spa where you get excellent services at a very reasonable price. The swimming pool is clean and being not very deep can be enjoyed by people. The swimming pool has attendant who looks after your needs. Overall the facilities outside your room satisfies you.
The rooms on the other hand needs very little attention to be certified as great. The rooms had very minor issues like the bath tub closure was broken. the drainage of the basin did not have a closure. The basin was not clean enough. The toilet deserves to be more clean. The balcony door had issues and would never open.The house keeping had to be called several times to open it. Most of the switches were not functioning. Supplies in the room mainly the tea bags were not enough. The house keeping though supplied them on asking. Generally tea bags are plenty and there are varieties. These are very minor issues which we did not complain but if the management looks into these small details the hotel can be much better.

the hotel is on the candolim road. the back side of the hotel opens to the beach and this gives it the location advantage. guest rooms are good quality but the premium on the price is due to the location. the rooms are spread on the 3 floors and the ground floor is better off unless one is taking the corner room to the sea view. food is average and the breakfast quality will let you down. seeing the breakfast food i never had any other meal in the hotel. Surprisingly the hotel even charges for the ice cubes service. overall average hotel, good for a night stay.
