Love this place everything about it is perfect..the rooms are lovely and comfortable the food is first class and the atmosphere is so relaxing!! We love it here and tend to visit on a yearly basis we will be back!!!

I traveled with my wife and friends to this pub for an evening meal after it had been recommended to us. We were not disappointed the food was superb, excellent quality, presentation and good size portions served piping hot. We had 4 different choices and they all came out at the same time. The staff were very friendly and inviting and the pub has a cozy atmosphere especially if you are sat near the open fire, When I travel to Scarborough again I will certainly be calling in for food again. I had the opportunity to look in some of the rooms they have available and they are decorated to a high standard and I would definitely stay there.

The oak wheel pub is a good place to stay, is clean and comfortable with good food and lovely friendly staff. Good location between whitby and Bridlington and just 3 miles outskirts of Scarborough. Would definitely visit again 10/10 thank you.

A lovely friendly pub. Delicious food and a high standard of accommodation. Staff very friendly and helpful. Was easy to find with plenty of parking and only 5 mins from the town. Would definitely visit again not only for a meal but also overnight. Highly recommended, you won't be disappointed.

We booked a table for Sunday lunch on a recommendation that they served lamb, which is my husband's favourite.
The restaurant was quite busy when we arrived, but the tables are nicely spaced apart so you don't feel cramped.
Our main courses of roast beef and roast lamb were served very quickly. The portions were large, with tureens of vegetables and potatoes brought separately. The food and accompaniments were all delicious. The waiter service was excellent and our plates were cleared away promptly at the end of the meal. Despite being full, we ordered puddings - cheesecake and a lemon tart. Both were lovely, and served with a free latte, which made them excellent value at just over £4 each. Again these were served quickly.
It was our first visit to the Oakwheel for many, many years, but we certainly won't leave it so long next time. The owners have matched great beers served well, with excellent quality food, and I'd recommend a visit!
