my daughter and i stayed at THE OLD LADY for 6 night ..and as a well travel people we couldn't hope for a better start to our vacation. the room had natural light and view to the small garden, comfortably bed with spotless bed linen that felt like home , great double en-suit shower. Gijs was s great host - made us feel right at home , an amazing breakfast every day and pumped us with everything we could ask for in an 5 * hotel all with a great smile. gave us very good recommendation for sightseeing, and was very helpful with every little e detail. . the location is great as well , less the 10 minute walk from central station , and the .
signal canal so nice to walk around even in night time with restaurant and bars just across the "street." we would love to stay here again on our next visit to Amsterdam

An old town house with a lot of charm. Two really nice rooms, excellent big bathrooms.I had the room facing the backyard. Very nice! There is no old lady, however, but a super easy going young man making a good breakfast in the morning. And giving advice for Tourists. Only a few minutes from the mainrailway station. I will definetely be back.

Stayed in the lower room which is huge. Beautifully decorated and appointed. Gijs was away but her fill-in Ray was wonderful with nothing too much trouble. Fantastic position on a canal near central Amsterdam and the station. Highly recommended.

I cannot fault this venue from the booking process to arriving early to be told we could have our room as vacant now to being able to leave our cases until it was time to leave. The bedroom is as shown and the bed is so comfy. Hubbie enjoyed the football on the TV.
Breakfast was excellent and Gils was so accommodating asking what time we would like to eat, fresh squeezed orange juice and fresh coffee what more did we need.... Oh fresh cheese yoghurts and meat with breads

Only comment for people with mobility problems is the stairs are very very steep but this is often the case in Amsterdam .

This is a b&b property in an old beautiful canal house. The house is on Singel canal walking distance to everything. We were able to use the facilities within the house eg kitchen, laundry. Our host Kurt was great nothing was any trouble for him. The photo is a true impression of the room.
