We stayed in a lovely room within the converted church and enjoyed fantastic views across Lincoln, and the hard to beat location only a few steps from the cathedral, castle, and Steep Hill area of old Lincoln.
Our room was large, comfortable and well prepared. Breakfast was excellent too - in all this was hard to beat.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Wonderful to stay in this quirky church. Room was very clean and had all facilities you would need. The only gripe I had was that the bed was a little hard. Great location for the cathedral and Castle. The breakfast was very good. I'd definitely stay here again.

What a fantastic location, within a 3 minute walk of the cathedral and easy access of steep hill. The room was in a converted church adjacent to the main building and was beautifully decorated. Breakfast was back in the main building with views to die for, cathedral one side, city views the other. Food was well presented and extremely tasty. All staff were friendly and helpful. We would highly recommend this establishment.

Very comfortable rooms in a converted church just next to the main building. Very quiet at night and with a great location very close to the cathedral, Steep Hill and the city centre. Excellent breakfast in the main building served by helpful and friendly staff. Our friends were called back late at night by a family emergency, so didn't get to use their room. When I went to settle up for them, they were given a 50% discount unprompted. I would have absolutely no hesitation in booking there again - especially in the hope that I might get the room with the big, round, stained glass window!

From a recommend, we chose here when visiting Lincoln.
We certainly wouldn't go there again.
Initial greeting from reception staff was good as was car parking. Off we ventured only to later return to bad news and a dingy, grubby, scruffy out of the way, down in the crypt room, and a room where, as they informed us, not on arrival but later to go to our room to unpack and change, had suffered a water leak earlier in the day and with no other rooms available without going to that room on the second night anyway! No outlook, it felt like a Dickensian prison cell. To have to walk through a sad, overgrown litter strewn churchyard, along a dangerous path, which in the wet was incredibly slippery was beyond a joke. Breakfast in a 1970's furnished room, an insult to the original splendour of the building, was poor beyond belief...stodgy, lumpy, tinned ingredients...I could go on!
I would not recommend this in any way...to go back there would be to see if it could have become worse!
I could understand being given a broom cupboard if booked hours earlier, but this had been booked over 6 months previously.
We were offered a small discount for inconvenience and also as we did not partake of breakfast on the second morning but we were glad to continue our holiday elsewhere and would certainly not go there again!!!
