The most amazingly great weekend at a superb location with the nicest folk you'd ever be lucky enough to stay with. Lynn and Phil are an absolute joy, the perfect hosts and just lovely lovely people, we didn't want to leave. Gorgeous house, stunning rooms, lovely food and the best company, deserves it's 5star status. Thanks for making our stay heavenly and if you want a slide of paradise, GO HERE!
Wonderful B&B in Pembridge

Upon driving up the long drive to their magnificent home we could see straight away what a lovely place this is. They have made an extra effort to ensure from first arrival your stay is a memorable one.
The gardens are beautifully kept, they have made an effort to give you that outside space to enjoy and it was certainly a lovely place to sit and relax while having a drink and enjoying the sunny English weather.
Upon being greeted at the door by the friendly couple we were shown to the guests lounge where we were brought tea and could relax for a bit before moving our cases up to our room. The couple were never intrusive even though we were in their home, and often stayed out the back so we didn't feel like we were imposing.
All the rooms were grand with high ceilings, it had a lovely winding staircase and beautifully big windows. It had been well kept and they had done a great job keeping it modern but yet very much in character.
We had the Green Room which is the largest room and includes a bath, this was decorated to a very high standard and it was lovely to see how much pride they had in their home. I felt we got good value for money for what we got here. The bathroom was superb with a brilliant waterfall shower.
Once settled in we were told that there is no curfew, just to simply be quiet when you get back in to not disturb other guests, easy enough.
Breakfast was a treat, given in a separate dining room with times staggered so that you could choose to either avoid the other guests staying here or join them if you felt being social. We did both and had a great breakfast both times, made to order with cereal, tasty mixed fresh fruit and grapefruit. Toast, jam and a made to order hot breakfast. All with local ingredients it was very very tasty.
It is a lovely B&B in a small village perfect to get away from it all. The village has 2 pubs and a very nice restaurant so your evenings can be as interesting as you wish! Reviewed separately.
We had a lovely time here, they have a beautiful home and went to the extra effort to share it with you, yet you never felt they were really there.
A lovely place with lovely people

I can't rate the Old Rectory in Pembridge highly enough. Beautifully restored by their loving owners it is as special as it is comfortable. Big rooms, highly ceilings and comfortable bed. The owners are very friendly and provide an excellent breafast with the bacon and sausages sourced for the local farm shop. A fantastic stay!
If Carlsberg had a B&B this would probably be it

The Old Rectory is what you would expect, there's a lot of history attached to this building and it's set in a beautiful village. All the rooms, furnishings and gardens are exceptionally good quality and very comfortable. I couldn't fault it at all and to top it off the hosts were very friendly.
I have this thing about WiFi, if you say you have it then make sure it's good enough to stream video. It was so thumbs up there too.
Probably the best B&B in the world.
birthday weekend away

I booked this hotel for my partners birthday as I wanted somewhere we could just relax and leave the world behind. We stayed in the green room. The building is beautiful and all the rooms are opulent. Breakfast set us up for the day. There is a lovely pub nearby (the new inn) serving excellent meals which are reasonably priced and massive portions!! We came back suitably refreshed!
