Stone mansion with modern homey interior, perfect place to stay if you are visiting Cornwall. Felt so at home as soon as we walked through the door, hostess Marilyn was kind and friendly. The rooms are spacious and the one downstairs has a fantastic view, perfect for watching sun rise. Beddings were clean and comfortable, everything was just right.
The breakfast room with a modern fire place made us feel even more at home. Breakfast was great, a variety of fruits, jam and cereals. The cooked breakfast was also good.
Wish we could spend more time there! Absolute lovely place! A bit pricey but well worth it!
Beautiful b&b in a lovely setting

Regrettably only booked for 1 night. We were travelling around so had booked different places . The Old Vicarage was by far the best and as 3 of us could share an adjoining room rather than booking 2 rooms, it was actually the cheapest. The quality of the finish was excellent. Although it is an old building externally, internally it has been rebuilt with comfort, style and the environment in mind. Comfy bed, beautiful furnishings, underfloor heating, blackout curtains, LED ceiling lights, walk in shower, mechanical ventilation, the doors in our room were over an inch thick, beautifully crafted, immaculate! No expense spared. We have recently built our own house so I appreciate all the thought and hard work that must have gone into this build.
The owners Marilyn and John made you feel very welcome. After being shown to our room we were invited to use the lounge.and John lit the log burner and offered us a cup of tea.. .
The location is beautiful with views over the estuary yet only a 2 minute drive to Truro. If I could buy it I would but unfortunately I need to wait until my children have grown up!
Ill call in five years!
Jolly lovely!

Beautiful building in a wonderful setting. Huge bedroom with a large bay window overlooking the river.
Property has been renovated to an exceptionally high standard, lovingly by the owners.
Amazing breakfast.
Peaceful & tranquil. Run by a caring & warm couple.
Can't wait to go back
Great b&b in a stunning location

Sorry this review is rather late, This was the last of our three b&b stays in a week in September, each one lovely but this was the jewel in the crown as far we are concerned. The breakfast room is absolutely wonderful, with great views and lots of bird feeders, so it was a delight to watch the birds during an excellent breakfast. The room was superb, and as a lovers of history we were delighted that our room faced the church, which was a stone's throw away. The historic cross in the churchyard was extremely interesting.
The house is situated very near a river estuary, the location being delightful. We were so impressed we immediately pencilled in a visit for May next year.
The service at breakfast was first rate too. Would definitely recommend.
One of the best BnB's going!

Stayed 2 nights and were treated with such care and attention from the minute we arrived to departed. The rooms were spotless and well refurbished to make the room and bathroom really refreshing on the eye.
Every floor was brilliant, hats off to you for the effort you've put in to it.
Defiantly going to recommend to anyone thinking of visiting the truro area!
