What People are saying

Wonderful stay

janewoodall1on 08/10/2017 19:36

We had a 2 bed lower ground condo which was home from home. All the facilities we needed were available. The rooms were furnished to a high spec, they were also large and bright. Lots of wildlife on your doorstep which was wonderful. Whilst we were here we booked a wine tasting tour with mjo tours, they picked us up from the lodge and we had an amazing day. We wished we had booked more nights at the outback as it was just perfect.

Everything you need for a family vacation

We've stayed here three times now and have experienced three different styles of vacation home rentals. This time we stayed in South Bay #2 which was perfect having 4 kids and needing to be close to the pool and beach area.

The resort is full of amenities and if you've brought all your food and drinks, there is no reason to leave. It really is a home away from home as all of these suites are owned by owners.

We've always held big dinners for our immediate crew and family from the area to join us. This suite had plenty of room and all the kitchen tools to get whatever dinner cooked and done.

There are a few feedback items for the resort which we will bring up however in the past they've always acknowledged and attended to.

This specific suite was perfect for our 4 kids (6,4,2,7mo), yes we are busy, but sleeping arrangements were perfect.

The bathrooms and enormous as are the bedrooms and those looking for space will have it here.

Overall we've always been pleased coming here.

Family vacation

I expected the resort to be lovely, but I did not imagine how luxurious it would be.

I could not have asked for a better more relaxing getaway in pristine natural and built surroundings. The property is massive. The natural beauty with the spectacular highlight, Okanagon Lake, brought me peace and tranquility this past weekend. The built facilities (2 pools and hottubs, tennis courts, gym, and of course the spacious home) added much happiness, comfort and fun. If you want R & R, this property offers seclusion. However, one needs to be prepared with food/alcohol and whatever else that makes one happy to sustain this privacy. There is no on-site restaurant or even a tiny snack bar. The city is a 20 minute drive away.

There was one slight off putting event that occurred that out a damper on our trip. It's not the resorts fault, but we overheard some teens remarking on our ethnicity in an unkind tone. Aside from the colour of our skin, I'm not sure how we differ from the other vacationers. We are proud 3rd generation Canadians. Kids being ignorant, but in this day and age, it is unacceptable. It's not the resorts fault, but facilities location and clientele would likely factor into our future destination research. We want to feel be accepted wherever we vacation.

Beautiful view

We booked the Ridge Home as we have 5 adults and I would highly recommend this over staying in hotel in Vernon as the price would be equivalent to 2 hotel rooms. Amazing view of the lake with floor to ceiling windows all over the house. Very spacious open kitchen area, separate tv room, 3 bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms. Perhaps due to low season, there weren't any previous guests before us, we did find some cobwebs hanging in the ceiling above the dining table and dried up bugs in the corner of rooms. Other than that, it is an amazing place to relax with family for few days.

Spring Break Weekend Getaway

Beautiful, quiet and serene gateway. We stayed in cabin FC25. Gorgeous cabin, 2 bedrooms in the main cabin and detached bedroom and bath. A provincial park bordering the property for exploring. Most of the facilities were closed during spring break so we mainly explored the beaches and surrounding area. Majority of the homes in this resort are private. The drawbacks- no restaurant onsite, however restaurants in Vernon about 20 minutes away.
