This hotel is big with plenty of facilities. So there are lots to do and our 3 nights there just flew pass quickly. Tried the many swimming pools, boat trip from the beautiful marina, and the few bars with live music at night. There is also a bar by the pool where you can watch the most beautiful sunset. Yet to try the golf lessons and bowling. There are many restaurants and we had the chance to try their special buffet dinner prepared for this ramadan period. The buffet spread was extensive with many local delicacies, perfect if you like to immerse in local culture. Will definitely visit again.

Visited last week with our 12 years old. Airport pick up to hotel is quick, check in was a breeze, and our son settled in quickly. Communication and special request were easy and hassle free too. This is what we ask for in a holiday with our kid. Strongly recommend for families with children.

Magellan Sutera is located 5 min from KKIA airport. Great place to stay for family with young children. The sea view is great, facing the few TAR islands. As you could use the facilities in both Magellan and Pacific Sutera and the Country Club, there are lots of variety to choose from.
The breakfast is great too. For meals outside, you could easily book grab taxi to nearby Imago Mall which is less than 5 mins away.
You could also take boat from the jetty to nearby islands like Mamutik for snorkelling. It departs hourly and cost RM65 per adult. Children below 3 years old is free.
The only downside is that the rooms will need some upgrading pretty soon to maintain its 5 star. The fittings and furniture are getting old and doors are getting noisy

Just had a one night stay in this 5 star hotel and experienced bed bug bits all over our legs! One would not expect this from this luxury hotel. Room is dated and drainage problem ie water stuck in bath tub and sink. Molds in bathroom. What a disappointing stay! Complained to the manager on duty and he only apologized and said this is rare. Not gonna revisit this hotel again in the foreseeable future!

Very good. Resort is good to spend time with my family. I worried mosquito. But, Resort is very clean. So, there is no mosquito. Food is very good too. Everything is good to my family. I would like to recommend this resort to my friends.
