A fabulous time at the Park Royal Hotel

My husband and I booked this hotel for our wedding anniversary, we had the overnight spa stay. From the minute we arrived the staff were really helpful and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble for them. We had a lovely spa treatment together which we both enjoyed. The room was very comfortable, where we felt really relaxed. We arrived around 11.00am and were told our room was ready for us, which was a lovely bonus, we then had lunch which again was a treat, before heading to the spa area for a few hours. Every aspect of the hotel was brilliant. Lunch, Evening meal and Breakfast cannot be faulted... everything was lovely. I will be returning again soon, and hope we get the same care and attention as we did on this visit. A big thank you to all the staff for making our visit one to remember. :-)
Will definitely return

We booked this hotel for a break on our anniversary.
We arrived early, around 10am and left our bags in the car as we did not expect our room to be ready so early but we were told we could access our room straight away which is always a bonus. The room was clean and had plenty of space with a large bed, the bathroom looked newly refurbished and again was clean.
I had 2 treatments booked in the spa and again I wasn’t disappointed. We used the spa and pool both before and after lunch, the morning was far more relaxing as by the later afternoon there were quite a few children in and the noise level was certainly not relaxing with the children jumping in and screaming but I do appreciate that these are members children and they have every right to also enjoy the pool. Some parts of the pool area were starting to crumble but I always think this is expected in water areas and I am sure it will be on a list of maintenance due.
Lunch was lovely with enough to choose from and delicious. The falafel burger was so tasty, my husband went back for another.
Dinner - we had originally booked our evening meal for 7.30pm but when I checked my emails, I had received an email saying that they had changed the time to 8.30pm which we were disappointed with as this is late for us. It’s lucky I checked my emails as a lot of people wouldn’t have done and would have been disappointed when they arrived at 7.30pm. I did ring and ask for this to be earlier but we were told they were too busy but could squeeze us in at 8pm. We enjoyed our meal and were glad we didn’t have to wait until 8.30 as they were so busy by then that people were complaining that they hadn’t had their orders taken or any food although we didn’t have any issues with the service.
Breakfast - probably the best breakfast spread I have seen in the UK. I can’t think of anything else you could possibly want. There was the usual cooked breakfast but with good bacon and sausages, a good variety of pastries, lots of fresh fruit, waffles, pancakes, smoothies, the list goes on and on. That doesn’t include the list of food on a menu that you can order too, including steak and eggs.
All in all, would I return? Most definitely.

May i just say what a fabulous experience we had this time , the manager really went out of his way to treat us and look after us , it was a busy lunch time in the bar area and we were made to feel really welcome .We enjoyed our meal and even return for our supper . it made such a difference after the last time we visited we had a few little blips . But may i say we will be returning and really hope the care and attention we got today remains , it is just how customers should be treated , with a welcoming smile and great service . thank you to all the lovely staff .so pleased we came back to you .
Pleasant return trip

My wife and I have stayed at the Park Royal Hotel twice a year over the last few years on a spa break, put together by an outside organisation, so it was no surprise that we found the usual good service and facilities had not changed. The rooms are always clean and tidy with tea and coffee provided. Facilities within the Spa are well tended; a good size pool with loungers, heat and sauna rooms together with a jacuzzi. The spa's cafe bar and lounge serves snacks and meals can be ordered through the restaurant. A separate treatment service is available should you wish to pamper yourself but I would suggest that it should be booked in advance so as not to disappoint. The main bar is adequately stocked although I feel that the wines, whilst good, are over priced or they need to stock cheaper wines for the average pallet / wallet. Well prepared and presented meals in the adjoining restaurant and the buffet breakfast bar never disappoints. Staff are pleasant and helpfull. We'll be back in February / March.

My wife and friends travelled here and stayed one night and enjoyed some spa treatments
Their verdict was really good as in lovely hotel great staff and service including the spa
They thought it was great value apart from the drinks. It was £68 for 2 bottles of prosecco and nearly £9 for a vodka and lemonade, sadly their rooms were all dotted over the hotel and rooms were not available until 3.00pm which is poor
Would they return ?
