It is a lodge and not a resort ,we should have avoided it for peace of our mind,we later found out many properties were available at this price point and at much better locations with much better views.In hindsight i feel i made a big mistake:
I will summarize some points based on my experience:
1. This is at best a lodge, rooms are shabby for the price they charge
2. 6 KM before Mall road (Dehradun-Mussorie road), we wasted lot of time in traffic jams going to/fro to main Mussoorie sightseeing points.
3. It is at lower altitude than Main Mussorie and hence less cooler.
4. In middle of nowhere so we were dependent on their kitchen which was overcharging.
5. Breakfast is included in room charge,But literally in name of Breakfast you get only paratha/porridge and it take hours for them to prepare.
6. Mobile Network issues sometimes and they charge 500 for WIFI usage!
7. No common room facility for drivers, also for their food you need to pay to lodge as no other option nearby.
Me and my friend's family planned a trip to Mussorie and based on preliminary study opted for this place.Got the booking done 2 weeks in advance directly paying 25k for 3 nights for a standard and Deluxe room.
Checked in around 5PM,as we entered the rooms we were totally shocked,in my entire life having stayed at umpteen no of places i had never paid such high room charges for such a shabby room!! The flooring was worn out, there was visible seepage and cracks on walls,spiders and roaches inside washrooms, no wardrobes in room, i mean it was crazy.
Got to know that there is no common room for driver to stay overnight, also no fooding option for driver nearby and at lodge it was charged Rs 100 per meal.I felt really bad for my taxi driver as we were in middle of nowhere.
I was under impression that owner stays at same place so tried searching for him to let know about my disappointment for rooms,but was told by staff that he doesnt stays there and i can call on same no on which i did booking, told him about my disappointment with room and drivers basic fooding/lodging etc.
He seemed pretty casual and totally un-proffessional as if he keeps getting these kind of calls,he said this is what it is and for driver he said that during booking i should have told that driver will come along!!
I felt terrible but cudn't do anything as all payment was advance.I informed the driver that he need stay in his car and he can have his food from lodge for which i will pay.
We got to know there is no Restaurant,total of 8 rooms and 3-4 staff so much for a 4k-7k room/night charges.We decided to visit Mall road for dinner, 6 KM in hills are equivalent to 12 Km on plains.There was huge Jam and we were clear that this is going to be a challenge coming/going from Mall road.We could feel the chill at Mall which was definitely missing at the hotel site, perhaps as Mall is on a higher altitude.
For the next two days we decided to get dinner from the kitchen as it took a lot of time to go to Mall road due to regular
Jams on this route.It was costly considering the quality and staff took ages to prepare them, even for a tea they take 30 minutes all in name of authentic cooking!
Since mobile network was intermittent We inquired about WIFI and were told that it is chargeable @500 per day! wow in this age and time owner wants to squeeze everything without giving anything back!
We visited certain place in 3 days and finally the time came for us to leave, i thought speaking to owner once more about my disappointment with rooms etc , the owner as earlier was non concerned, not once did he asked how was my stay for the past 3
Anyways i told him the room is sub par, the driver food charges are high,WIFI charges were abnormal in this age and time ,for all these he said "it is what it is".I said this is a feedback he said "OK" as if saying he doesn't need any feedback.
On drivers food he offered a 300 Rs discount and advised if i am so concerned about driver then i should have asked driver to eat with us and order from menu!!! what an arrogance, i told him after paying 25k we dont care abt 300Rs to which he
said as i wish and conversation ended. He seemed quite used to and pretty arrogant.
I left after clearing all payments but with a bad experience.

Excellent place. Peaceful and rejuvenating. I travelled with my parents on long weekend when almost all the hotels were occupied and road to Mall have 2 hrs traffic jam and I have no reservation and was travelling with family.
To my luck I took a U turn on jammed mall road and travelled towards Hathipao and the first hotel you get is perfect hideout. Gautuam was there at reception he eased out all my concerns. Got a family suite, reasonable rate and perfect view. What else I can ask for. My parents loved every bit of it. I too enjoyed nice view just outside our rooms and clouds will make it even better.
Excellent place, come to Mussoori and stay at this place and don't bother about going to MALL road. It has nothing but traffic Jam and you have seen it many time in your city.
If you want to see nature than only go to Dhanaulti otherwise all other places around Mussoori of no use, they are all ruined by people like us. Suggestion - Once you enter this place don't leave it until you go back home.

Not value for money and snail (🐌) service
Room: The view from the room was very good. It wasn't cleaned proactively though. The furniture was not fully done with the ply on the inside showing. Rooms were dingy and didn't have any ventilation. Toilet doesn't flush properly.
Facilities: As there is nothing to do here, things like board games would have helped.
Approach and access: The hotel is true to its name. it is a hideout. Those without vehicles like us will face a lot of problem getting around. They do arrange for cabs but the cab wait time is upwards of 45 min.
Food: Mediocre and very high wait time. On their part, they did tell us that the food is prepared fresh and thats why it takes time. Doesnt excuse 30 minutes for chai. Free breakfast is with a big asterisk. Only 1 dish can be ordered under the so called free breakfast in room service per person. Again please cater time for the same.
Staff: Polite and courteous. While all the above rant put aside, the staff were friendly and do want to help. It seems that management of this property is an issue.
It is a beautiful property and the view is great but the problems mentioned earlier don't make it value for money.

A home away from home. It was a very pleasant stay at the perfect hideout, with a breathtaking view. The room service was incredible and the and the warm caring nature of mrs Rawat will be cherished.
The home cooked food served was incredible and delicious. Kudos....

I visited in June 2017 with my sister and we stayed in tge deluxe room. From day 1, when we were greeted by the owner, Mr Gautam, we were enthralled by the sheer excellence of both the hotel and its location as well as Mussoorie in general. When we met Gautam, we were a bit apprehensive about everything as it was our first visit to Mussoorie. But Gautam was an excellent conversationalist to say the least- he was frank, candid, polite, humble, helpful and had a great sense of humour. He even aided me with the check-in-process on phone before arriving there. We checked-in and the rooms were clean, had a geyser, electric kettle, lcd, table fan, intercom, water bottles, dustbin and instant tea and coffee-making materials. The washroom was spick and span and the beds were clean, tidy and had 2 pillows each and quilts. There was some other furniture to dine inside. But these are only the amenities. What makes 'The Perfect Hideout', 'perfect' is the staff. From Mr Ravinder (the manager) to Adil and Shubham to the cooking staff, everyone was diligent, thoughtful, kind, courteous, approachable and thorough in theor work. The chefs prepare dishes which you find are some of the best you have eaten. Mr Ravinder helped a lot with suggesting transportation and responding to all queries in a prompt and efficient manner. Shubham also helped a lot with suggesting tourist places and packages, conveyance and efficient room service. Adil was helpful in removing key doubts which I had from day 1. But most of all kudos to Mr Gautam for running such a difficult show with so much panache and elan. The location is breath-taking with a view of the valley. The only problem is lack of affordable transportation for tours of Mussoorie and from Mussoorie to Dehradun and vice-versa, but that is a separate issue; while the hotel is the 'Perfect Hideout'.
