What People are saying

Great location

Bass Lake is one of the top beautiful lakes in the West. The lodging is spacious, clean, and beautifully located. Pricing is reasonable considering the lodging is in the heart of Yosemite country. I definitely would revisit if in the area.

Escape to the mountains

The Pines Resort at Bass Lake is one of those places that has an impact on you, especially if you are an English man like me who watched Twin Peaks as a teenager, it's like walking on to the set of Twin Peaks. The log cabins have a well equipped kitchen and the beds good. The only down side is that the sofa beds are a bit tired. The Resturant in the resort is very good and reasonably priced, it's themed with deer and elk heads in the entrance hall which may not be your cup of tea but is to be expected for this type of resort. You can also rent boats from the quay to take out on Bass Lake, I was only there for a couple of nights as a stop over on my way to Yosemite but I think I could easily have spent a week there

Worest night ever in a hotel.

We were next to the bridal suite and they for the first night of their honeymoon had a screaming match at 1am.
Really feel sorry for the bride, we were traumatised listening to the fight.
We called three times to reception to stop the row. Eventually at 2:30am security made them stop.
No mention of our ordeal was made at reception in the morning.
We will never stay at the Pines Resort at Bass Lake again.

Fantastic place!

This place was just what we needed after spending a day on the road and in Yosemite Valley. We just spent one night here, and that’s the only thing we regret.

The lady at the reception was super nice and we felt very welcome right away. Our cabin was so large, clean, and comfortable that we felt we could stay here for at least a week. It also had a nice, big patio with a grill on.

The bed was amazing and the bathroom was absolutely ok. The sink and the toilet/shower was located separately which we always prefer.

The breakfast at their diner, Ducey’s on the Lake, was fantastic. And one of the nicest waitresses we have met. Can’t remember the name though. But that's another review.

Wifi worked great

Parking spot right outside the cabin

Gas station right across street from the reception (limited refueling options in Yosemite Valley, so this was perfect)

Supermarket located next door to the reception

If we are ever coming back to Yosemite, this will be the place for us.

Good memories, but...

My husband and I were married at the Pines 3.5 years ago, so it will always have a special place in our hearts.

We love the scenery and visiting Duceys on the Lake and Duceys Bar and Grill. We decided to only stay in the hotel after having a bad experience with neighbors in a chalet.

This weekend, we were put in Room 10, which is directly next to the exit and near the Chalets. We spent the night being woken up by drunken yelling guests outside after quiet hours, heavy footed upstairs neighbors, and the slamming enter/exit door right outside of our room. Needless to say, the relaxing get-away we planned was anything but when it came to sleep.
