Fabulous family vacation destination
Tony Con 15/06/2017 16:53We spent 4 days and nights at the Placencia in early June - what a fabulous place! Great rooms with comfy beds, balconies, and lux bathrooms, and a fabulous location right on the Caribbean at the top of the Placencia peninsula and a short drive to Placencia Village. The huge pool with swim-up bar was fantastic, and the in-hotel restaurant had top-notch food and service. The entire staff was friendly and helpful - highly recommended!
Lovely, relaxing time
Giulianna Ton 12/06/2017 23:56I had a solo trip for two days on the peninsula and stayed at The Placencia Hotel two nights. I had a lovely, and relaxing time. It is a very beautiful location. Shuttles from airport, and to and from Placencia village were efficient. The food was good, but the staff was excellent! They were by far the best thing about this resort. The snorkeling tour I did was fun and the tour guides on staff were great! The fresh, on-the-spot conch ceviche made by the boat driver during the snorkeling tour was delicious and made it such a unique experience!
I would recommend anyone to stay here that is looking for a 4 star experience, that is planning on partying at night in town (as the bar and pool close early at the hotel), and that does not need to stay put in their room or by the pool to get work done requiring internet connection. I also found it pretty cool that there are many large iguanas hanging around the premises, and that there is a decent gym for the fitness-conscious guest. Again, This is truly a decent spot more for the party crowd that plans on heading into town rather than spending much time at the resort, and not the business person working on a deadline or that is expecting 5-star amenities. It's also great for those that want to have a blast parting at the casino next door!
During the days I was there, at the end of May, there is no actual clean swimming areas inside the water by the beach, but the pool and swim-up bar is fantastic, as well as the dining and bar experience on the pier! The beach itself, however is groomed daily and pristine clean. You'll find gorgeous lighting and comfy seating on the pier, and a cool step to sit on that allows you to soak your feet in the water at night while sipping on an exquisitely prepared margarita! If you're a coffee lover, the main dining room and bar has an impressive Italian cappuccino (and beyond) maker. The bartender served up a delicious cappuccino and even recommended adding a dash of cinnamon which just made it so much better!
Once you've pin-pointed what the nature of your trip is, and fit the requisites of guest-type I listed above, then the beautiful and friendly "The Placencia Hotel" is the right place for you.
WHY NOT LIVE WHERE PEOPLE VACATION
Robin559on 23/05/2017 20:23I just returned from Placencia again and stayed at the beautiful "The Placencia Hotel & Residences". I have reviewed this breathtaking hotel a number of times, and this time after staying their for a couple of weeks, I am convinced to build a home in The Placencia Residences. The hotel is great, the staff is great the location is breathtaking the service is outstanding. The chef at the hotel Mr Laurent Girard is not only the best chef in Placencia but he is one of the nicest people you will ever meet in the world. He and his wife make you feel like you have known them for years. If its not on the menu, he will make it for you and it is delicious. His wife baking skills are masterful. I am recommending this hotel to everyone who wants to experience true paradise and who wants to see The Beauty of Belize! I am going back again next week and will be staying at The Placencia Hotel & Resideces. Belize is calling me, and I am answering the call.
BEAUTIFUL & RELAXING
Joan Mon 18/05/2017 08:03This is a lovely place. Overall it is well maintained and inviting. The pool is a great place to swim or relax with lounging areas where you can simply cool off without getting all the way in. There's a nice swim up bar and several options for food. Our air conditioner was noisy so they moved us to a different room. The next day they were fixing the problem in our original room. The grounds are well maintained.

fotografiassabrinaon 08/05/2017 20:09I would highly recommend this hotel. We traveled as a family and had a wonderful time. The staff was helpful and pleasant, the hotel is pretty new so its very well mantained.
The hotel has a french chef whose cooking is spectacular.
