Beautiful setting and beautiful room. The view was fantastic. Service and food was also special. I had a "partial ocean view" room but it overlooked Haulover beach and you could see for miles up the beach. I didn't want to leave the room...but I did of course.

My family and I recently stayed at the Ritz Carlton Bal Harbor. Overall, we had a nice time and enjoyed elements of our stay. The staff at the property was excellent, everyone was friendly and attentive. There are however some deficiencies that I want to provide feedback on including: -The swimming pool was too cold to swim in -The hot tub did not seem to function properly, the timer switch appears to be broken, the water temperature was inconsistent with it sometimes very hot and other times luke warm -In common areas and in our guest room, the carpet in several places is worn and stained -Loud renovations were going on primarily around the porte-cochere valet drop off area, this did not bother us that much most of the time, however, my wife got a massage in the spa and was unable to fully relax, there was jack hammering going on the entire massage and then what sounded like the fire alarm being tested, not a great experience for a $246 massage -My wife returned to the spa for a Barre class and was evacuated for a fire drill -The valet situation was tricky due to renovations and felt unsafe at times coming in and out of the hotel -It is strange that there is no pedestrian path from Collins Avenue up to the hotel -The TV in our guest room has a green line on it running vertically on the right side of the TV, very annoying to watch TV with that line always there -The tub in our guest room leaks, we had to keep the water running constantly to keep the tub full -The dishwasher in the guest room is not installed properly, it is not anchored into the cabinetry and flops around loosely in the dishwasher cavity making it very difficult to open and close the dishwasher -There were issues with the elevator serving Baker Tower where the wall with a mirror inside the elevator cab was bare plywood, covered with a temporary fabric, then bare plywood again, then half covered with fabric, then a handrail was lying loose on the ground, then partially covered with a permanent panel and partially bare plywood, etc. -There was garbage underneath one of the bedside tables from a previous guest I am a hotel owner and understand the challenges of the hospitality industry. I am passing this feedback along as constructive criticism to help you improve. We were disappointed in many of these things as they did not meet our expectations for a 5 star Ritz Carlton property. It seems like this hotel is badly in need of a property improvement plan to stay competitive in the 5 star landscape in Miami. We travel to Miami Beach a couple of times a year and enjoy staying in high-quality hotels when we are in the area. We have close friends that live in Surfside, making the Ritz Bal Harbor a great location for us to stay. Based on our experience this week, we are unlikely to return when comparing the Ritz to other comparably prices 5 star properties in the area. We do appreciate the hard working staff at the property and think that you are all doing a great job from a guest service perspective on the personnel front.

My wife and I celebrated our 13th wedding anniversary at The Ritz Carlton Bal Harbour. My wife and I were greeted by Snezhana in reception, and were offered complimentary breakfast as I am an Elite member. We also were upgraded to a King Suite with a view of the ocean. The amenities in the room were exquisite, including a full working kitchen, along with a complimentary bottle of champagne to honor our visit! We had some initial concerns about a burnt light bulb in the kitchen, as well as a slow draining shower and no hot water in the kitchen sink. These items were all addressed by the Engineering staff in a timely manner. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would love to return at some point in the future! As a consolation for the issues in our room, the front desk also provided us with a daily credit to our folio for our use on the property! My only suggestion would be to allow guests to access their room folio/bill from the television screen in the room to be be able to review current charges and balance without having to go downstairs to the front desk to request a paper copy. We had a wonderful stay and would love to return!

Already written in previous questions. Thought that little attention spent on convience of room. Food was fair and buffet cold. Staff excellent. Really special. The hospitality room was warm and welcoming.

Property is clean and well kept
Staff was amazing! Everyone was happy and dedicated to making our stay comfortable. The beach chairs are out and ready early in the morning. We took hotel bikes (free) and rode along the beach path. The in room service was exceptional especially breakfast. Valet parking staff is always on duty and quick to welcome you back to hotel. The service at the beach and poolside was great! And the front desk team were exceptional! We loved this hotel and will return soon.
