We love the building, the views, the lounge with record player, comfy beds, the bad art, the books, helpful staff and fabulous breakfast with great choice. We book direct as breakfast is included in the price then. .

Stayed one night loved the record player going as we turned up. Bookcases on every floor and corner was really my thing. Only downside was the tiny room we stayed in. Had to sit on the loo sideways. But free bottle of water and biscuits was nice.

We had two rooms. One on the top floor and one on the ground floor. Both very clean. The 'climb' to the very top keeps you fit! I really noticed how all the staff worked hard to help us enjoy our stay. Nothing was too much trouble. Oh, and slept like a log with no need for earplugs!

We had our wedding reception at the hotel. It was as good as perfect for us as we had such a beautiful and memorable time. The food that was provided in the evening really could not have been better, excellent chef. The attention to detail from the staff was brilliant. The hotel itself was quirky, with dozens of paintings. At times it felt like we were in France, such was the feel of the hotel (in spite of the restaurant being called the Empire rooms!). Loved it. Thank you!

Very comfortable and welcoming.Spotless.Friendly and helpful staff. Prime location.Generous and high quality breakfast. Really enjoyed our stay and will stay again. Easy walking distance to town and beach.
