Very nice resort with such friendly and helpful staff. Great beach, especially if you like long walks. No issues getting a lounger. Plenty of amenities if you want to stay active. Nice variety of good cuisine.

Our room was on the 3rd floor above the pool - walk up. Comfortable bed...room was clean & always well stocked. Several different types of restaurants, all were very good & within walking distance. The beach is wonderful with lots of loungers. You can walk down the beach a long ways. We'll go back again in the future.

We had a fantastic Honeymoon! We stayed in a Royal Romamce swim up and highly recommend it. Our butler Charli took great care of us. The food at the Royal Gourmet, Le Chantrelle (French), and the Indian Restaurant was great. The Sports Bar was great. The pools, the beach, the bars, and the service were fantastic.

After five stays (2-weeks each) , we can say we feel like at home...
They have 2 great restaurants for the suites only and the food is delicious, but you can access also the other 5 restaurants on the site. You will also enjoy the beach and pools... and don't forget to visit the Zentropia Spa Center... a place to discover and dream about!
The concierges and other employees are always smiling and ready to help, like when my boyfriend was sick once, they were all very helpful in helping me look after him.
We are sold to the Turquesa Royal Suites and we will continue visiting them for many more years to come!

We stayed at this resort Nov 5th-12th. We had never been to the DR before but have stayed at multiple all-inclusives in Mexico , Antigua and Jamaica ( see previous reviews) This was, by far, our least favorite vacation. I will just bullet point the positives and negatives of our stay
POSITIVES
-Room was very clean and well attended to during week by Vicente, our housekeeper. We requested an extra pillow and she took care of that very quickly. She also made us feel very welcome.
-Bed is firm but was fine for us. We also felt the AC worked very well considering the humid climate.
-Royal Gourmet was fine for breakfast buffet.
-Adelita (mexican) was great for 2 dinners we had there and Wilson was a good server.
-We had after dinner drinks many mights in the TRS lobby bar and Yocasta always took excellent care of us. She was so friendly and helpful.
-Stanley served us daily at the main TRS swim up bar and he was amazing. Always had a smile. Made excellent drinks and remembered us from day to day.
-During the days we relaxed outside our swim up suites, Danilo made the rounds often and made sure we never wanted for drinks.
NEGATIVES
-While the bed is comfortable, the overall design of the room is confounding. There are no drawers to store any clothing. So you either have to hang it or leave it in your suitcase.
- The lighting in the room is very dim. You have to turn on basically every light if you'd like to read in the evening. And you then have to unplug the lights to charge your electronics.
- There are 3 enclosed closet areas with a series of sliding doors. Essentially you can have only one door open at a time so you can't access 2 areas at once.
-We have stayed at larger resorts before and the cart/transport system at others is much more organized. We often spent several minutes just trying to decide if we should ask a staff member to call for a cart or just wait.
- Due to construction we were unable to eat at 2 of the restaurants we were hoping to dine in. And the steakhouse was fully booked during our week. Other than Adelita, the food was fair at best. Food arrived incorrectly, warm rather than hot and just generally not good.
-Timeshare staff are fairly deceitful regarding their role. We were approached twice regarding the "special breakfast" and our "free gift" and had to be very firm that we were not interested.
-Finally, other than the exceptional staff noted above we found the staff to be disinterested and, at times, outright rude. We heard "no" a lot for the simplest of requests, such as exchanging our allotted bottle of scotch for rum. We speak some Spanish and we try very hard to speak the native language as much as possible when traveling. Despite that, we had significant communication barriers with a lot of the staff. Also, it would be a good customer service message to staff to not assume guests don't speak the language. I might just understand your insults.
All in all, based on our previous experiences, this resort didn't live up to our expectations and we don't feel it is a 4-5 star resort.
