We had one of the 2 garden motel units in the establishment. The owners (Darren and Sylvie) are very welcoming, knowledgeable and extremely helpful. Our unit is getting a bit dated, but was very clean and tidy. Well thought out spacewise (good idea to have coat racks outside of main entrance door). Good sized room and bathroom with french doors opening to a private deck which is simply divine to enjoy snacks and local wines. Thoroughly recommended.

We stayed here for two nights and it was a great location for exploring Farewell Spit, Wharariki Beach and the walking tracks nearby. The beach is great for shell seeking. We had three units, each with en suite and a small kitchen. The owners were helpful with any requests. There are three cafes and two grocery/convenience stores in the town of Collingwood, one gas station and a small community museum. It is a delightful place! The rooms have bed warmers and heaters to take the edge off the cold nights.

Beautiful location within walking distance to the local high street convenience store and tavern. Room was well kept and had a small kitchenette area to use. The owners were very accommodating when we had a friend also turn up on the day to stay with us. This was greatly appreciated. It was also great to have movies available to watch in the evening. I chose this accommodation as we were taking the Farewell Spit tour. The pickup was 1 minute walk from the accommodation. Would highly recommend this place to stay.

Stayed a couple of nights in studio accommodation. Nicely situated across from the court house café - great coffee and breakfast. Owners very friendly and helpful. Accommodation comfortable if a little tired. Pretty garden to relax in. Good base to explore the fabulous Farewell Spit.

We stayed here one night before embarking on the Heaphy track and it was the perfect place to stay. The owner / manager is very friendly and personable. The little cottage we had plenty of character and sat in a beautiful garden setting. Great.
