This hotel gives you strong Motel feeling. It's located by the road, low ceiling, one window room.
Room inside looks really cool - newly renovated.
Rain-shower is cool but if you really need to wash you can do it only outside by the pool.
If you have long hair bring your own hairdryer!!! One provided by the hotel is terrible.
We spend there only one night but I would not spend there more. Our room had the window facing the road. Not many cars pass there but you hear them all.
In the room there is little kettle, option to make coffee/tea and some snacks provided by the hotel. It's really nice breakfast option.
All in all, the room is 3 stars and pool experience is awesome, combined those I put 4 stars.
Pools: the biggest pool is warm and you can swim there, deepest part is 5FT
Medium pool - where most of the people spend their time, feels like a pool for kids, but it has an optimal temperature so we were there couple hours.
The smallest pool - jacuzzi bath has a massage and is very warm. Maximum I could be there half an hour.
We were there in the middle of the week so it was not so many people in the hotel.
Hotel name is Motor Lodge and Spa but in credit card statement you will see Sunburst.

Hotel is very nice, rooms have recently been refurbished. It isn't a luxurious place, but is very comfortable and clean. The only negatives about the room was lack of seating, there was only one chair, and the shower has one of those ceiling-mounted "rain" shower heads, which I really don't like. The rooms are very spacious though. Loved the pour-over coffee!

I would like a quicker checkout experience. I went to the lobby to check out, as I wanted to buy a couple extra things (wine glasses, crackers and the robe), but there was only one staffer there and she was tied up on the phone for quite some time. Ended up taking me easily 10" to check out, and there ended up being 3 other customers behind me waiting!

We loved the Calistoga Motor Lodge! We arrived Friday evening and were greeted by a wine tasting at reception, which was just what we needed after the trip in! Rooms are cute and clean, they provide morning coffee, snacks and bottled water which is a nice touch. Free bike rental, nice pools & bocce on the grounds. We didn't get a chance to use the spa, but will on our next trip. The only issue we had was that the walls are a little bit thin and we could hear the TV in the room next to us late at night.

The hotel was clean, fun and a great place to stay while visiting the Calistoga region. My only complaint was how thin the walls are. Keep your fingers crossed you stay next to someone super quiet because there isn't a ton of privacy!
