The Sutton is in a great location however there are better hotels for similar prices. The Sutton is dated and doesn't offer modern features most hotels have standard.
For an extended stay hotel a fridge would be a nice touch. Better furniture would allow for working in the hotel room. The furniture is old and uncomfortable. There is also no breakfast included.
Fitness center is good. Internet is passable but not sufficient for video calls. For +$200 a night there are better value options.

This hotel stay was so unspectacular and disappointing. We had visions of a grand hotel, thought it would be classy and immaculate. So wrong. One reason we booked it was for the pool and hot tub, but the hot tub was out of commission and the pool very cold, and it's winter in Vancouver! A hot tub would have been lovely at the end of a day out in the cold rain. But it was not to be. The room was old and decrepit and reeked of some sort of perfumed air freshener or cleaning product. So gross. Chips in the bathtub that looked like insects - freaky! Bathroom door hinges need oiling as they are so squeaky. There was a scale in the bathroom, but the battery is dead, and the battery is dying in the TV remote. Lots of noise in the hallways and from above, so sound-proofing is not good. They charge $25/night for wifi - who the heck does that anymore? Wifi is ubiquitous and free everywhere now, from the cheapest motel to the high-end hotels. This is just a rip-off, which they probably make you feel like you should be grateful if they discount the wifi. Also, parking is $40/night, and there is no shuttle to the hotel from the airport, which is really unfortunate for anyone with lots of luggage/equipment. It's not easy to take the train with that much luggage. The bellmen in charge of opening doors and hailing taxis haven't got a clue - there were people jumping the queue and others getting very annoyed as they had waited patiently. They need a clearly visible system and communication as to what's going on with the taxis. Finally, we called down the night before our departure to arrange a late check-out, and were told they were sold out the next day, so no rooms were available. Called again in the morning of departure, and were told there were rooms available, but late check-out costs $$. Of course it does. Because this hotel specializes in nickel and diming its guests, and fails badly at customer service and upkeep. We cannot recommend, and will not stay here again.

As usual, a fantastic stay. Staff are very professional, room was extra clean, and I had a really cozy sleep. Felt like a pretty important person as the staff open the door for me to arrive. And if it rains, umbrellas are in the room or available at the front door as you leave if you forget.

I have been staying with Sutton Place for few years specially with Sutton Place Vancouver and Hospitality is Amazing. Staffs are welcoming and wonderful. In rooms amenities are perfect. Location is excellent.

I really appreciated the in-room amenities and service - robes, slippers qtips, loofah, mini bar, snack basket plus nightly turn down. I've been traveling frequently for work recently and haven't seen this level of amenities in any other hotel I've stayed in, at similar price points.
Staff are professional and courteous and are always prepared to do a little extra for you. Genuinely appreciate the professionalism of front desk staff, concierge, door men and room service, including the suitable way that the server angled the TV towards my table as he left the room.
Far exceeds the service that I received at a different Sutton Place location last month.
Close proximity to wine store, groceries, shopping and delicious food. Recommend the Japadog food cart for something quick and delicious.
