My wife and I recently stayed for a night including dinner in the evening. Everything was great and the room was very clean and spacious. £60 for both of us including breakfast is really good value. Dinner in the evening was excellent and would highly recommend the food. Service was also very good. Our only slight issue was our room (Gooseberry) as this was above the kitchen and there were some cooking smells. Apart from this everything was fantastic and we will be returning.
Excellent all around!!

Everything excellent! We stayed in Pear & had a brilliant view of the Malverns & village duck pond. Room was lovely & very clean. Heating in room is controlled by yourself - a big plus point.
All staff very friendly & helpful.
Food - good choice on the menu in the evening. Breakfast freshly cooked & high standard - better than we've had in some hotels.
Excellent value for money.
We will be going back for another stay soon!

My husband and son stayed for 2 nights and I booked a twin bedded room for them.
It was very reasonably priced for B&B at £140 for both of them for the two nights and there was no charge made for the dog!
It was great that the dog was also allowed to join them for dinner and breakfast.
The room and bathroom were clean.
They slept better than they thought they were going to as the beds seemed a bit springy when they sat on them but they had a good nights sleep both nights.
The biggest problem they both had was with the bathroom. It has a sloping roof and as both my husband and son are over 6 foot tall they kept banging their heads when they went to the toilet or used the shower and that was annoying for them and painful!
The food was great both for dinner and the breakfasts, they really enjoyed all the food they had there.
They found all the staff very friendly and very helpful.
Lovely building - but left disappointed

Booked to stay overnight. Beautiful building and a lovely room. Staff on arrival were polite enough and room was lovely and clean - although noisy. Was a little disappointed with breakfast - we both opted for the full English, and this was perfectly fine apart from the sausage. It tasted and smelt like it had gone off - totally un edible. This in itself wasn’t a great issue, things happen, we did notify a staff member who said she would tell management and the chef. We checked out not long afterward by the same manager - who didn’t even offer an apology for the ruined breakfast - I found this quite rude and left feeling disappointed - an apology would have made all the difference. Shame as we were impressed with the rest of our stay.
A welcome haven

Having tried desperately to book a room in or near Upton upon Severn I was disappointed that 2 establishments refused to accept dogs, and one owner of a B and B on the outskirts hung up on me as I was taking too long finding my mobile to give him my number. (I never remember my own!). However, I was so impressed in many ways with The Swan at Hanley The young receptionist who booked me in was courteous and welcoming on the phone; My room was well furnished ,immaculate and comfortable; the setting was very picturesque and peaceful and the breakfast could not be faulted. The whole experience exceeded my expectation. Value for money? YES!.
