Stayed over 2 nights as part of Veena travels tour group. Awesome coverage style spacious rooms, raste full decorated and very well maintained. Excellent breakfast and dinner buffet. Fast and efficient room service. Has a pool but did not use it. Service in the restaraunt is smilingly excellent.
The approach road is a little difficult to find and navhate.
Awesom place for holidays.

The resort has its privacy . Nicely located in midst of mountain ranges . Good clean rooms and courteous staff , special mention to mr srivastav -manager , the food is good and the resort is just 11 km from udaipur city , but worth a stay

We went with family to celebrate holi festival. It was awesome staying there. Checkin was fast. Food was too good. Especially Rajasthani food. View from room was too good. They even arranged dhulandi for in house guests. Overall memorable experience.
Not so good place to stay!

It's a very well maintained place. The staff here are not friendly and warm. The Wi-Fi doesn't work most of the times... It's just good to stay overnight. And the prices are high according to the amenities provided.
The best thing about this place is their lawn.
Overall good experience but can be better for the price charged

I visited Udaibagh at Debari, Udaipur last week. I traveled with my wife and 2 yr old kid and had researched different websites for almost 15 days before zeroing in on this one. The booking was done through Truuly Hotels who have an office in Delhi and their Sales Manager Arjun Rathore was very professional throughout with his communication. and the booking process was very smooth. We had a booked a Suite for 2 nights with MAP along with pick up and drop to the railway station (later the pick up was changed to the airport). The overall experience was good but there are a few aspects that make me rate this place lower than Good. (I would ideally give it a 3.5 but I don't have that option).
Cons: Their website does not have images of the Suite Room hence, it was a chance we took in booking that room. The additional room in the suite is not that great. Its a basic room with a single bed and an almirah. In the end we didn't use it as such barring charging our phone. The suite does not boast of any additional amenities in the room, the TV is a standard CRT one. No Fruit basket, no cookie tray, water was not placed in our room. We were not even provided the welcome drink and a traditional arti-tikka welcome despite that being mentioned as part of our package. I even asked one of their Managers Mr. Shekhawat about the welcome drink to which he pretty much passed it off. However, I was surprised to find a group being served welcome drink on check-in (while I was waiting to checkout). Not that a glass of sherbet matters too much to me but what is listed in the package should be provided.
The Children's Park was pretty ok. However, the slide, see-saw and a couple of swings were broken. My kid loves the slide, however, all that was there were stairs, the slide column was missing. The see-saw did not have handles to hold on to. This needs to be addressed ASAP.
Poor wi-fi and cellphone network connectivity: Though they have free wi-fi it only works when you are in the restaurant. In the room its non-existent. Similarly, the cellphone network (especially Airtel) is extremely poor at the resort. Though you are looking to relax still basic communication is needed. Even their credit card machine had trouble connecting to the network.
Game room seemed ok. But please don't provide talcum powder for carrom board. It ruins the board and the smell is disturbing too.
We also felt the Manager, Mr Shekhawat a little pushy on things and rude to certain of his staff members. Something that struck us in particular. Not sure if he was having a bad day.
Cost of transfers: The travelling cost from the resort seemed to be very steep. We were asked to pay Rs. 2000 for railway station pick up a drop. When we changed the pick up to Airport, the cost did not change, despite the airport being probably half the distance to the resort.
Pros: A beautiful resort. The last 1 km leading up to the resort may not be memorable in terms of the road and certainly scary at night. However, when you enter the resort its enchanting. It captures you.
Despite the Suite not being great as such from inside. Its location was fabulous. Located on the 1st floor at the corner overlooking the lawn, mountains and the swimming pool.
Huge lawns both near the rooms and at the entrance with pretty bright sunlight (awesome in winters). Well kept and with benches to sit. This was a delight. My kid had a great time playing in the lawns.
Food and Service: The food overall was amazing and the service stands out. Mr. Satyendra Singh and his team were phenomenal when it came to hospitality. They were very friendly and ensured the meal was served to our liking. Though I would like to see some Rajasthani food items on the menu next time (guess its designed to cater to the clients they get)
Housekeeping: Very prompt whenever we called upon them. Even the water (which was not kept in our room to begin with) was provided once we called them. The cleanliness and upkeep of the room and the entire place was very good.
So overall here is my assessment to ensure one has a memorable stay at Udaibagh
1) Understand its a resort and not a palace like the pictures seem to suggest
2) Since, its a resort its better to travel in a group. A single family can find it a little boring as there is not much at the resort to venture and nothing nearby as well that can be explored on foot
3) Manage your transfers yourself. I am sure the taxi from the airport to the resort would have been a lot cheaper. Similarly, do some extra research and try hiring a taxi by yourself.
4) Choose the MAP option with your stay and try going out during the day for lunch. The food at the resort is slightly expensive.
5) The SPA facility at the resort is not round the clock. So inform the reception in advance so that it can be made available for you.
6) Avoid booking the suite unless you are 3 or 4 Adults.
7) Carry reasonable woollens in winters. The temperature at the resort dips at night and it can be pretty cold in the rooms as well. There is no heater provided in the rooms (though I believe you can ask for one)
8) Carry your own games, sports equipments etc. The resort does not have any. We carried a football for our kid which was extremely handy.
