We stayed at the union and what a fantastic place to stay in. Feels like your in the countryside. Tess and Dom went out of there way to accommodate us. The food was fantastic we had for dinner tonight. It was top class. Full English breakfast it’s great value for money in a very friendly homely environment. We would definitely recommend this place to stay.

This is the 2nd time here in less then 2 months the food is amazing, rooms clean and everything you need and all really reasonably priced. Tessa and all the bar staff are friendly and couldn’t do more to help you. Had a few problems in room so went down stairs to tell them and the manger came upstairs with my partner straight away and sorted it. So apologetic but it was things that couldn’t be helped nothing is to big or to small if they can sort it then and there they will. Will defo be returning! Thanks for a great stay again!

Booked this hotel last month online.
En-route for our stay I received an email at 10.20am from our travel agent to say that the hotel was "undergoing maintenance during our stay and your room will no longer be available." Our agent had received this notification from the hotel that morning and had been given no further explanation.
I phoned the Union Inn to ask what had happened fully expecting it to have been a mistake or told of some absolute nightmare they'd had but instead the member of staff was very cold indeed. There was no apology, no explanation, no empathy whatsoever. Manager was unavailable. Left email but no response.

Had a wonderful night stay. Room was clean and functional. Plenty of parking.
We ended up eating in The Union for evening meal and my husband had burger and I had curry. Past reviews not wrong - food id superrb and reasonably priced. Union is friendly and comfortable pub - a down to earth place.
Breakfast was amazing and Tessa pulled out all the stops. Would we stay again? Defo

We had a superb celebratory dinner this week at the Union;
The food was exceptional and the service was exemplanary.
This establishment has a fantastic ambience and the staff could not be more friendly and helpful.
We are booking again for a pre Christmas function.
