A very nice pub, we had carvery the choice was superb three meats, lots of lovely veg very good value for money, plus a very nice menu, spoilt for choice, nice interior friendly staff, will definitely return.

I stayed with my son and some friends for one night. The rooms were warm and modern, but the access to the rooms was a little off putting, as you had to go to the back of the inn and up some metal stairs to the rooms. What was great though was the food. We had an evening meal from the menu, a great breakfast that was included in the room price, and lunch the next day. The food speaks for itself, as we had not booked a table and were very lucky to be served, as the restaurant was fully booked for both sittings. i would recommend that you book a table in advance if you wish to eat, as the locals love this place.

My husband and I had dinner here yesterday. The pub has a warm atmosphere and the waiting staff are friendly, but both of us were disappointed by the food. My husband had chicken curry. The chicken was tender, but the poppadom was very oily and the curry just tasted of tomato and chilli powder rather than a proper curry as such. Vegetarian sausage and mash - the mash was lumpy and the peas were tasteless. Pity the food let it down, as the pub was otherwise quite nice.

Very good service food good surroundings very nice staff friendly plenty of smiles and very accomadating. Would recommend this restaurant for a meal with friends out of town,taxi essential if all drinking.

Have had lunch there on several occasions and cannot fault either the quality of the food or the helpfulness of the staff. Reasonably extensive menu with "Specials of the day" and a good selection of beers and wines. Quite a large number of tables both indoors and outdoors. Various posters indicate they have music nights and other attractions organised.
