Great food, comfy bed and perfect location however..... room could of been cleaner and we was locked in overnight so couldn't get back out to the car. (without going through the fire exit!) The room was above the bar/kitchen so noisy until late. Overall a nice stay but only for a night.

We booked to eat on Monday night " steak night " at the Victory Inn. Our meal was good quality and good value.
Service was efficient and the staff were charming. Booking is essential as it was pretty busy.

Went here on Friday night to have fish & chips. Meal was excellent value 2 meals for £12. Staff couldn't do enough for us - would definitely go back. Special offers on most nights and a bottle of wine was very reasonable.

We had the only two rooms at this Inn, which were clean and reasonably comfortable, but without much style. The rooms are upstairs at pub and right next to their dining room, so front bedroom very noisy with patrons at outside table right under window. This was not a cheap place, so we were a bit disappointed. Restaurant here is great, and I'd recommend in a second. Staff are delightful, so almost make up for noise, but not quite. Our travelling friend was in the smaller back room, so only had modest kitchen chatter with which to contend. Parking was a few blocks away.

We ate at the Victory recenty - nice cosy pub and the food was tasty. However, I was very disappointed with the customer service. I asked for a side salad to accompany my fish cakes once my meal had arrived and I could see that the accompanying salad was small. I was told that there was a "system" and they couldn't just do it for me as there were other meals in the queue. I was a bit surprised and said that I only wanted some salad leaves in a bowl but they said that they couldn't guarantee that I could have it to arrive whilst we were eating our meals. Fair enough you might think. However, after returning to my table and looking around I could see that all the other people in the restaurant ( probably seats around 25) were either eating their meals (one table had just been served as I was waiting to ask about the salad) or deciding what to order with the exception of the couple seated near us whose meals arrived just after I sat down and who commented to the waitress how speedy the service was. On the plus side they had overlooked our order for chips with our meals which came late and the charge for these was removed from our bill. A nice gesture so we had quite conflicting experiences in terms of customer service.
