Good evening to everyone and to all staff @ Trip.
I visited India during 1st & 2nd week of September 2017 on vacation and again during end of September due to family bereavement . I will review as much as possible ....Hotels and restaurants.....and apologies for this delay.
I am reviewing this property Vijay Park...located on MKN road, Alandur, Chennai. This is just off the main GST road or otherwise called airport road. There are 2 other properties of the same name in the city itself.
Firstly.....I wish no one stays here as a guest. Period.
I stayed here for a few hours during the first week of September. Let me start with the reservation. This hotel has a website but it is faulty....faulty towers. There is no facility for online reservation although there is a portal for that. I had to call the reservation manager atleast 4 times from Crawley to get through to him. I then emailed...twice....with my request. On the phone...he seemed quite re-assuring and that was that. I managed to get a confirmation email from him. My requested stay was from 4 am to 11 am. Charged as a day stay rate ( 8 hours) and the quote was INR 3500. Thats around £40. I thought...well OK..!!
So after a tiring flight....I reached the hotel at around 4 am. Customer pick up and drop off....I am not even going to talk about it.
The guys at the front desk were asleep on the floor. I woke them up and mentioned my details. This two useless boys said that they don't have a reservation in my name. I luckily had a print out of the confirmation email from the reservation manager , who is equally useless. Then these 2 minions had a small discussion and finally I got a room. I paid the money upfront by debit card and checked into my room. I planned to vacate sooner than 11 am.
The room was small with 2 single beds. The air con was central and no controls. It was as useless as the front desk. Hot Humid. The bed was hard wood...dorm style. Kettle was there but nothing else. Locker...not functional . Bathroom was small ....no toiletries....and 2 leather towels. Wifi was non-existent and no 3G/4G signal available. Thats when I realised that this is not a hotel. But a dungeon..!!!
I managed to sleep for 2 hours and hunger woke me up. I went out at 6:30 am looking for food, as the complimentary hotel breakfast was not yet ready. I am thankful to God for 2 reasons. I managed to get a hygienic hearty south indian breakfast just behind the hotel
( Saravana Bhavan) at 6:45 am and I skipped breakfast at the hotel restaurant. I again slept for 2 hours and checked out at 10:30 am. Onwards to Bangalore.
There are at least 6 hotels ( 4 star / 5 star) on the main airport road that are much much more better than this trash can. And the money I paid for six hours in a dump was premium. I was tired for the next 2 days. Pics attached.

To bein with this property is chain of The Vijay Park located on the highway of Madhavaram,Chennai.
The rooms and bathroom are apt and perfect.
The Linens and the bed are well maintained.
nothing much more to say about the property, just the regular.
This property is mainly for the bulk bookings for ocassions and events and they tend to be fully booked mostly.
The housekeeping and the roomservice staff aren't very professional though.
The in-room dining is terrible and no other restarants within the vicinity.
So, not highly recommended but if your on travel and need a place to stay for the evening to catch a good nap this is the place.

I stayed in this hotel for a day and the rooms was not very good , Restaurant service was very BAD, Room Service was good the guy who came in to serve the food was a professional, I can say this is a old hotel Wifi Never worked didnt care to look in to it.

Don’t want to be very negative but it looks like the place was built in a hurry, some of the rooms don’t look fully finished.
The AC is centrally controlled, I couldn’t find a way to adjust the temperatures. The phone in my room was not working.
The security guards at the hotel entrance not efficient, people just park in front of the main entrance and it ends up clogging the entire thing..
Would not recommend.

The food that was served was very bad and was not upto the expectation...moreover it was not worth the cost (not even 1/10th of the payment)...The welcome drink was also not been served and we always had to be running in search of the service people....They were very much lethargic in their work...no seriousness...nothing...The working staffs should be quite responsible...
