We were pleasantly surprised by the size and what looked like fairly new decor. The hotel is in a prime walkable location in Anchorage directly across the street from The Hotel Captain Cook. We were excited to learn that the hotel are managed by the same company so guests can use The Captain Cook amenities. We did not eat the free breakfast but it really looked great! We would stay again. Also, the kitchenette with convection oven was a great touch.

I slept quite soundly in the comfortable bed of this hotel, part of the same group as the Hotel Captain Hook. Frankly, the price of the Voyager is better and it offers access to the gym and other amenities of the Captain Hook right across the street, so I would opt to stay here again rather than at the Captain Cook, where I also spent the night during my trip. The bathroom of my room looked like it had been recently renovated with a beautiful tile pattern in the spacious shower stall. The individual staffing the reception desk was jovial and very helpful. The free breakfast was basic fare but done well and hearty.

If I could I would do 4.5 stars. Don checked us in and was fabulous! So friendly, great suggestions on what to do and where to go. He really made the stay great. The breakfast was really good and the room was huge, clean and comfortable. Location was good- easy to walk everywhere and it was good value. The only flaws were the water in the shower was at best luke warm and there was no hairdryer. You also can use the spa etc across the street at the captain cook.

The room was huge, bathroom was clean, bed comfy and location is excellent. My review was close to a 4 star but the hotel did not have the bells and whistles to get to a 4 star. Breakfast was ok. The cooked breaky was ordinary but plenty of juice and cereal. A nice touch is the free beer or wine around dinner time. Good way to meet other guests.

It´s a nice hotel, quiet and with very friendly staff. but, after having stayed two nights in Anchorage, I would strongly recommend Captain Cook hotel. It´s best spot in that city.
Voyager Inn is in front of Captain Cook, and you can use its sport center. From 18 to 19 h, Voyager Inn offers a happy hour where you can taste local beer free. It was best experience for me, because people are very friendly and you can talk each other about your experience around Alaska or your next destination.
If you have rental a car, you can park in a public parking in front of the hotel, without any fee.But, if you have a car, another option could be stay in Midtown (cheaper), not in downtown (Home2suites by Hilton is a good option) and driving into Anchorage is easy.
