Love the property but the staff was even better. Ron, Katie and everyone we talked with were terrific. We would only stay here on return trips to area. Tioga pass was closed to Yosemite so we were unsure whether to cancel our stay or go ahead but Katie planned several trips for us and we are so glad we went on to mammoth lakes and the Westin. Probably the best hotel experience I can remember.

We stayed here as a stopover on our drive from Vegas to San Francisco. We were surprised by the snow still around but enjoyed our stay very much. The hotel was comfortable and the rooms were very spacious. Staff were somewhat helpful but service could be better. We had a "wheel in" room and found facilities to be great. We would stay again.

My wife and I love Westin and this property doesn't disappoint. Comparing with our experience in Avon (Westin Riverfront), the property doesn't feel as luxurious as the lobby is relatively small. Other than that, staffs are helpful with the shuttle service available to take you to the airport, Mammoth Mountain (7.30am and 9.00am) and the Outlet nearby (I do not recommend the visit to Outlet though, very limited options of things to buy here).
We had to change our itinerary from 3 nights to 2 nights due to unforeseen circumstances and managed to get a refund after explaining the situation. However, we find it's really challenging to get someone to reply via email especially that we are from Singapore and did not wish to make International Call. Eventually we managed to get Jeff Guillory, the director who is kind and sympathetic enough to forward the request to his team. Thanks and big shout out to him!
Overall, this is a very worthy stay and will definitely recommend for those planning a trip in Mammoth.

The place feels relatively new. Carpets are not worn out from all the hard ski boots. Decoration is simple and nice yet practical. Staff are attentive and offer help when they see you struggling with the gear.
In terms of the room, very nice size and has a gas fired fireplace. Bathrooms are nice size with bathtub to soak. My room had a day bed with a nice view.

First, the positives: the room was clean and quiet, there is a kitchenette with a complete supply of dishes and a refrigerator, and the hotel itself is modern. The negatives are that our message light was on the phone the entire time and we never even had a message. I called the appropriate service number for assistance and was met with a very bewildered young lady who apparently had never been asked before what to press to put the light out. Her only solution was to send a technician who never came so that was a needless annoyance. Also the electric fireplace in our room didn't work but there didn't seem to be any hope of getting that problem addressed so we just went without it. The other problem is that the service in the restaurant is painfully slow and it wasn't even busy. We are SPG members and accustomed to better service so this stay was disappointing.
