A home amidst the forest

The rooms are clean and cosy. Service is pretty decent. Food is really good compared to the place which is extremely remote. The best part is the ambiance . You would feel as if you are staying in the woods with different trees and plants all around you. At night it feels really awesome to be there. The peace and darkness is something that you would experience to a different level. The resort provides you with pick up and drop facility from and to the nearest railway station on prior intimation. Altogether a very nice experience and would recommend to try this property.
The place to be ,away from the crowd.

A wonderful resort with independent cottages which are well equipped with all modern amenities. The best part that the entire staff of this resort is eager to please you. All of them are having the title of Yadav and are very well disciplined in doing their task thanks to the major dome named Yadav too.
A very good experience.

I had a very pleasant experience at Tiger trails resort on my recent visit to Bandavgarh on a photo safari.Situated a few kilometers off the road from Tala village the resort is set in a beautiful garden with welcoming lily pools on both sides of the main gate. You are greeted with a refreshing cold drink and a cool towel at the gate itself and this is so welcome in the heat of central India. I found this welcome was repeated each time that I returned every morning and evening from the safaris. The rooms are all air conditioned & very comfortable with a seating area and fireplace, two rooms share each cottage that are spread out across the resort. The food served in the dining area is mostly Indian cuisine and was very tasty, Bed tea is served early before you leave on safari and the can also provide a packed breakfast as early as 5.30 in the morning for those ardent safarists. The highlight for me personally were the many different birds you can find all across the resort's gardens.I was able to spend many happy hours between safaris observing and photographing all the beautiful birds. The staff are all very friendly and helpful, they strive to make every guest feel very much at home. Altogether I had a very good experience and will recommend the Tiger Trails Resort to everyone planning to visit Bandavgarh.
Among the greens and peace of nature

I visited Bandhavgarh with my family in Feb 2017. As a traveler, I look for accommodations which are away from the main market of any city, so that the vacation becomes an opportunity to take a real break. So after a lot of research I booked Tiger Trails Resort and I was not disappointed. This is a beautiful property located away from the main road in Bandhavgarh village. While driving from the city to this resort, you could have some doubts about your choice but don't worry. The wild unbuilt path is just to tell you that you are in the middle of a jungle. Once we reached the resort, we were so glad we booked it. It has a beautiful natural pond with its lotuses to welcome you. You can spot many varieties of birds and monkeys right in the garden. The cottages are very comfortable and warm. The staff is helpful and friendly. They will prepare whatever desi food you ask them to. Do try local vegetables in your food because they are always very fresh. Wake up early in the morning so that you can enjoy cold mornings with chirping of birds. There are hammocks in the garden. You can enjoy warm sunlight lying in the hammock with a good book. This is the place for you if you like being close to nature and are not a sucker for the glam quotient.
Beautiful location and great sighting!

Our flight from Mumbai to Jabalpur was delayed by a good two hours. This was followed by a three hour drive to Tiger Trails Resort, Bandhavgarh. By the time we got there, it was already dark and quite late. However, the welcome staff was waiting for us with refreshing drinks and warm smiles. While it was well past dinner time, chai was served to us on request around a bonfire. Our rooms were a throwback to the jungle lodges of colonial times. The rooms were pleasant looking, clean and warm. The bathroom had hot water and a shower. Since it was winter when we visited, this was really important for us. Quite importantly, the room did not have any bugs or mosquitoes. Early next morning, our driver and jeep were ready for us along with a packed breakfast. The driver, Santosh Burman, a budding naturalist, was very enthusiastic and pointed out several species of birds to us during our drive to the park gate. Our first safari was in the Magadhi region which was very lush due to a heavy monsoon in the preceding months. We spotted chital, langurs and many types of birds but had no tiger sighting. We got back to the resort a little before noon and were stunned by how beautiful the property is. All the cottages stand at the edge of a water lilly covered pond. A small bridge leads to the open dining area that is shaded by tall trees. The staff has quite thoughtfully hung up hammocks between the trees for the guests to relax in. The lunch was a sumptuous affair. The staff was very warm and looked after us with great care. Our group consisted of three Americans and one Indian, all vegetarian. Keeping in my mind the foreign guests, the staff made sure the food was tasty but not spicy. This safari trip was arranged by Mr Mukesh Burman, who answered a number of my questions patiently before the trip and was always a phone call away. We did two safaris on the first day -- morning and evening. Both times we saw a number of animals but only had a fleeting sighting of a tiger but from a far. The next morning a hearty breakfast was packed for us and headed out into the jungle. We did not have a tiger sighting for several hours and were losing hope when we turned a corner saw her, a beautiful tiger sprawled across the road stalking a prey. It was one of the best sightings anyone could have asked for. While her prey eventually eluded her, the tigress followed us as our jeep moved ahead. We finally parted ways but the memory of seeing this grand beauty will stay with us forever. In the evening safari we spotted a number of large birds of prey but no tiger. However, our morning sighting was so fulfilling that we were not disappointed. All in all, this was a very memorable trip made all the more pleasant by the beautiful resort we stayed in. Mr Santosh and Mukesh Burman both made sure that our entire visit was smooth and hassle-free. Special thanks to Santosh, who was very respectful and also has a great sense of humour that made us feel very welcome.
