Understated and we didn't know what to expect when we showed up as it's at the end of a long dirt road and doesn't look like much but in reality it's well done and the staff is great. Greatly enjoyed the Floating Island and visiting the island though I wish they had a faster boat. The staff couldn't be kinder or more genuine and it seems that the hotel does a great deal for the community. The best place we stayed in Peru even though not the most luxurious. Just a lot of charm and a great setting.

Small, luxurious very comfortable hotel on the shores of Lake Titikaka. Food was great but the service was a bit hit and miss although it didn't detract from our overwhelming positive experience. Wish it could have been for longer. The excursion to Uros was a real highlight giving just a glimpse of how the indigenous people have lived out on the lake. We recommend.

We just returned from a wonderful luxurious stay at Titilaka Hotel situated on Lake Titicaca. This hotel caters to every possible need from blankets,pillows, wet towels and food in the pickup van to exceptional cuisine and wide variety of all inclusive activities. We visited the Uros islands and Taquile Island on their private boat with the incredibly knowledgeable and funny JC. I would recommend at least a three night stay because we would have liked to do their bike trip but didn't have time. Other activities include visits to ruins, Puno, walking, kayaking, bird watching etc. the staff are incredibly gracious and kind. Relaxing by the fire and meeting the other guests in the evening was very enjoyable. We will definitely be returning.

The setting and ambiance of the hotel are magical! The rooms are charming and comfortable, and the meals are excellent! The service is attentive and consistent. Thr excusrion to Uros and Taquile was a true highlight of our three weeks in Peru. Our guide was escellent. The chance to interact with the families we visited, and to get a feel for their way of life was very special. The weaving onTaquile was the best example of truly indigenous craft that I wittnessed on our trip. The workmanship was excellent. I hope Titilaka can help preserve this singular culture.
Because the price structure is all inclusive, and because we are not big eaters or drinkers, I felt we were paying for the indulgences of others.

Our stay was part of an itinerary arranged by Belmond. After experiencing the slick, professional and seamless service offered by Belmond through their hotels, trains and tours, Lake Titilaka Hotel has a way to go to reach that standard. The hotel itself is well positioned with great views overlooking Lake Titikaka and the rooms are all well appointed. The Hotel Manager struggled to make an impression both at check in and throughout our stay. We asked some basic questions about check out times in order to plan our activities around vacating the room. Our questions were generally met with "10 minutes" to come back to us. When we followed up with the Hotel Manager, he hadn't obtained any information for us. We faced a similar situation when asking about room heating which appeared to be broken. "10 minutes" please and someone will look and provide a portable heater. Again after a couple of attempts, we gave up. Hopefully this feedback will result in some support for a manager who seemed to struggle with time management and customer service. It's a great hotel otherwise and worth the visit.
