Stayed here at the beginning and end of our Garden Route trip and felt this was an excellent 4 Stay hotel. Rooms were clean and comfortable and had everything you needed. Staff always pleasant and helpful and lovely juice and yoghurt at breakfast. If you want hot breakfast order it from menu as hot buffet a bit mixed and not topped up regularly. Location is central & good for museums and a cheap taxi ride to waterfront. This is however a city centre hotel so not sure it is completely safe and a couple of people in our group did experience minor incidents so not good to walk out alone especially at night.

I stayed at Townhouse Oct 1-11, the first week in a junior suite and then moved to a Deluxe room that was part of a package. I loved it! The folks working were top of the line when it comes to customer service. Anything asked for was provided lickety split and with a smile. From the front desk staff who greeted me each morning with a smile to listening to my daily adventures at night- to the restaurant staff who by day 2 knew what I like to drink and gave the added attention without hovering. The neighborhood is quiet, but nice. Hoho bus one block away Waterfront about 10 minutes unless it's rush hour! Gardens,slave lodge and District 6 museum just a 5-10 min walk. I highly recommend this hotel.

Stayed for 4 nights at the beginning of our South African holiday. Perfect location for walking to city central sights: District 6 museum , St George’s Cathedral and Company’s Gardens all within reasonable walking distance. Staff in reception and dining room outstanding. Nothing too much trouble. We had a small problem with our room and it was resolved without any difficulty and with a smile. Victor in the restaurant deserves a special mention. He treated us like royalty and remembered our preferences after the first night. Steak was so good we had it every night. Delicious! Highly recommend as city centre hotel. Hoping it won’t be our last visit! Thank you!

Our Gate 1 group stayed here for 4 nights at the conclusion of an 18-day tour of South Africa. The location is quite good, with Parliament, Company Garden and Green Market Square nearby It is, however a distance from the waterfront. Several interesting restaurants are within an easy walk such as The Cousins Trattoria and the Eastern Food Bazaar.
Our room on the tenth floor offered a distant view of Table Mountain, when not shrouded in fog. Room size was ample and included a large desk. The pillows were great!
The free breakfast buffet was plentiful--I particularly enjoyed the cherry yogurt.
My spouse and I had a light meal one evening in The Trees Cafe that was enjoyable, if like us, you are too tired to venture outside.
All-in-all it was a pleasant stay.

We met our tour group (Gate 1) at this hotel at the start of a 16 day tour and we were very happy with it. Our room was clean and comfortable and it was an easy to walk to many local attractions however, a trip to the waterfront required a taxi ride which was relatively cheap. Breakfast is served each morning in the Trees Cafe where there is a comprehensive breakfast menu in addition to a very respectable buffet. The cafe has a really lovely outlook through the trees situated just outside the hotel. Staff are friendly and accommodating and there is a welcoming bar in the hotel lobby. There are a number of restaurants and coffee shops in close proximity to the hotel. This is a decent hotel that I would have no hesitation recommending for a short stay in Cape Town.
