The hotel is in need of repairs that come with
age. Friendly staff and it is one of the most affordable and clean hotels. You can hear airplanes fly by from time to time but small ones. They offer 28 days and weekly rates also.

We booked the Barratt Inn because it was close to the Airport and because of its price. I had read some previous reports which were far from glowing, so we were a bit apprehensive about what to expect. It is certainly run-down, and in need of a good clean-up.
I could not recommend it as a place to stay.

I work in a Hotel/Restaurant, we have actual check in and check out times, but you still have the guests that arrive early and wouldn't mind checking in a couple hours early or checking out and want to hang out in the room for a couple of hours after, I always try to accommodate every single guest that stays at our Hotel ...we arrived at the Barratt Inn hoping we would be able to check in early, being that we were on the road for the past 8 days rving, we were really looking forward to a nice shower and get relaxed from a long road trip....Josie comes out from the back room and says "what you want?" we asked if we could check in and in a very rude voice says..."CHECK IN IS AT 3PM" we said that is fine and left, we checked in at the Marriott Courtyard which we normally like to stay and paid about $120.00 extra a night, well worth it, Courtyard has great customer service and of course let us check in at 1:15pm.... I do not know what I was thinking when I booked at the Barrett Inn....I can see why they have horrible ratings, maybe the management should read the reviews so they know how bad the service is. we canceled our reservations at Barratts, never to return!

I booked this hotel specifically because they advertised free airport pickup. When I called them from the airport their phone system was on auto and you got forwarded to a full mail box. Fortunately there was a shuttle of a hotel across the street which gave me a ride.
The price paid was way too high for what I got, but at least the room I had had been renovated with fresh paint and retiled bathroom. The TV and hair dryer worked, but there was no fridge or microwave in the room. The elevator worked as well.
The little restaurant next to the hotel was not open for breakfast on a Sunday morning.

The Water in the shower is Radical going from warm to Cold then Scolding Hot.
I got scolded taking the shower in the morning, had to go see a doctor.My wife was afraid to take a full shower and get her Hair wet after seeing what happened to me.
When I reported to the Office ,Tom the Manager came out ( wouldn`t give his last name ) said he would have it investigated and talk to Management in Seattle and they would be coming to Anchorage and let me know, this was on May 1st and as you might guess Tom has not called. Cost me additional over $200 Doctors visit, plus pain and ointement meds.
Brought the ( Doctors ) Receipt to the Hotel, was told by his Step- son, Tom was not in and have no idea when will be.
Any suggestions how to proceed with this matter to recover the Doctors fees etc. cannot afford to Hire an Attorney.
