When we first arrived I checked the bathroom and found a brown smear on the toilet seat. The room was stifling hot and dusty. Breakfast had limited choice and the bagel was moldy and the milk was warm. When I asked the girl on duty, she offered $5 compensation and did not want to give the email address for the manager.

Convenient if you’re tired

This motel is just off the highway, so it’s easy to find, you waste little time & there’s little or no highway noise. We took a 2 queen bed room although we only needed one of them. These rooms are big with sliding glass doors at the back which lead onto a small decked area with a couple of chairs. The doors are good but there’s no other opening window, which means there’s no way to get fresh air overnight without creating a security issue.
The bed was comfortable although the bedding quality was poor. The medium size fridge with freezer section was also useful.
Breakfast was included in the price with juice, fresh fruit, cereals, yogurt, toast & pastries. There’s no central place to eat your breakfast but you can eat in reception, outside or take it back to your room.
A functional stay but nothing to write home about.

More and more motels are holding a security deposit on your credit card ($100 in this case). The problem is that if the hotel decides to charge you for some damage, you’re long gone and have absolutely no way of disputing the charge. When I brought this up with the manager, he became defensive and forced me to listen to a half-hour defense of the policy. Otherwise, the hotel was okay other than the mild cigarette smell (non-smoking room). Not a great experience.

I had a nice stay. The place is a motel, I'm use to hotels. It is dated but my room was large and comfortable. Didn't have time for breakfast but it was just the basics, coffee, tea, muffins, fruit. Quite convenient to where my business meeting was being held.

This review is written on behalf of my elderly parents whom have stayed a couple of times recently when visiting us. Rooms are spacious enough and clean with basic amenities. Bed was comfortable, clean with daily housekeeping tidy. They really enjoyed the breakfast included with the price of the room and it offered lots of variety. There's an outside pool on site but they have never used it. Surrounded by tall pines and local wildlife. Price seemed reasonable especially when breakfast included. The location is also handy to shopping, restaurants and just off Hwy 11.
