Good location easy access to 401 highway. Good selection of restaurant and they also deliver to this Hotel.

We stayed at the Travel Lodge in Chatham, ON for a period of 2 weeks in a great room with a king size bed, kitchen facilities, a balcony. We found the staff all congenial and most accommodating to our needs in all areas of our stay.

Several family members and I stayed at this hotel on Oct 20 and 21 and found it to be very good. The staff are *super* friendly. Breakfast is more than adequate. I didn't like how, as another traveller mentioned, the plugs in the rooms are not easily accessible. Getting down on your hands and knees to plug in your phone and the coffee maker is not something you should have to do in 2017 :)

Overall, my experience was okay. The room was clean, though there was a bit of an odour and it was stuffy. The room was outdated but had sufficient amenities. I ended up forgetting a belonging and needed to follow up with the hotel staff to see if I could have it returned, but I felt like I was being more of a nuisance, rather than being helped. It's a decent hotel if you need somewhere to stay for the night.

Imagine having to kneel on the floor to unplug a microwave or coffee maker to plug in your phone charger. Then having to do it again to plug in a charger near the desk. Lamps with plugs for just these needs were in all the other motels we stayed in during a 4000 km trip. Imagine finding the cabinet door with the fridge with a defective hinge and the fridge door held open by the same cabinet door. These problems should not happen in 2017. (The walls were discolored below the crown moulding. The carpet had lost the crispness of the pattern.)
The outside doors were not lockable. (But the exercise room required a separate entrance card.)
The sidewalks leading into the outside doors did not drain the rain puddles causing the hall to show mud near the various entrances.
The hot breakfast, as usual, ignored the needs of lactose intolerant guests.
On the positive side, the evening and morning staff, were very welcoming.
