Stayed 1 night for business which was booked and paid for by employer.
Made to hand over my CD and they whack a surcharge on it, for who knows what reason. Not made aware of why they do this.
Overall the place was just a place to lay my head after work, nothing flash but clean and tidy.

It's become my go-to Newcastle option. I travel for work frequently.
Easy to locate. I love that! Even in the dark, just a breeze to find and the location is excellent. This last time I stayed I was attending a conference and it was literally less than five minutes away.
The parking is , as has been said, a bit ordinary. But if I have to choose good room vs good car space - it's easy to pick!
I was very comfortable in the room and it was clean and tidy. This last time I was overlooking the back and really enjoyed the city view.
Room service was very prompt. The food was satisfactory but not brilliant.
All staff were helpful and courteous, especially the cafe/bar downstairs giving me a take-away coffee to take into my day.
I'll be back.

Travel Lodge is a terribly run down and poorly maintained property. Dirty laundry left in hallways and disused roomservice trays next to lifts.
Bathrooms in poor condition and unclean.
Poor menu choice and would not poach an egg. Breakfast buffet very poor indeed.
Would not recommend to anyone.

We stayed at the Travelodge Newcastle after a long break and were pleased to see that the standards and friendliness that this hotel prides itself on has been maintained. THis hotel is central, comfortable and modern and the staff are excellent

$15 per night parking fee not mentioned in booking, rubbish bins not emptied still had previous occupants waste in them.
Dining menu was very limited only 4 mains to choose from.
Staff were very helpful and friendly.
