We came back to Travelodge Santa Monica after two years for another visit with family in the area, and appreciated again its all-around quality and convenience. Easily accessible from the I-10 and I-405, close to but not in downtown Santa Monica, Pacific Palisades, etc., across the street from Trader Joe's--all at a very fair price for this area. Best to stay in the eastern-most courtyard (near Trader Joe) which is the only one that is nicely landscaped with outdoor lounge chairs, chairs and tables.

I saw a good rate online at the hotel, same rate as trip advisor. And yes, pets are allowed, but -- there is only one pet room available in the entire hotel, and it is an additional $140 per night. YES AN ADDITIONAL $140/night FEE!!! So okay, you aren't traveling with your dog, but do you REALLY want to patronize a place that charges such ridiculous add on fees? I have never heard of such a ridiculous nightly surcharge.

The room was clean and comfortable; it looked out onto a courtyard. The room included free breakfast which had a pancake machine among other items like cereal which were perfect for a quick breakfast to start your day.

I would recommend closing the outdoor door near my room so that people cannot come in there in the evening,

This Travelodge is within 15 minutes of many tourist sites by car including the beach, in the Santa Monica area. The room was clean and parking is available. The staff is friendly and breakfast is available including cold cereals, juices, and make-your-own pancakes.
