Fabulous place to stay!!

This was the best place we stayed during a 3 week trip to India. I can't think of a single fault! The room / treehouse was beautiful, totally private and so comfortable. The food was delicious (and very plentiful!). The picnic breakfast on safari was a highlight of the day. The staff were all very helpful and the resort's strict tipping regime meant no awkward moments. We stayed for 3 nights as part of our honeymoon. When the management realised it was our honeymoon, they arranged a special dinner for us in an outside private dining area. Fabulous! The national park was beautiful too. We had 4 long and very interesting game drives as part of our stay. We wouldn't hesitate to go back - ideally for a longer stay.
Perfection Personified

We stayed here for 3 nights in November 2017. The location within the buffer zone of Bandhavgarh National Park is so convenient for early morning game drives. The rooms are incredible, a mix of luxury and simplicity - beautifully designed and styled to make everyone feel at home whilst also on an adventure. The staff are so warm, welcoming and above all else friendly, they make the stay an absolute pleasure and we will miss them all. The food is excellent and of course the game drives are amazing we were fortunate enough to see 6 tigers across our 5 game drives and a Sloth Bear. Could not recommend this place enough and we will be back.
A Beautiful Stay at Treehouse Hideaway

We just returned from Bandhavgarh and Treehouse Hideaway and already miss it! It is such a beautiful property, with wonderful people there to make sure our every need was met.
Upon arrival we were greeted with welcome cocktails and warm washcloths to refresh ourselves after our 9 hour journey from Satpura. Both were appreciated. We were then shown to our tree house, #3 (Tendu I believe), which had the coolest staircase leading us up to our house in the trees made all of locally sourced and sustainable woods and materials. Normally when I think of a treehouse and locally sourced I do not think of luxury... but this was luxury! We had a beautiful 4 post, solid bed and masterfully crafted sofa and desk as well as outdoor furniture. I loved our large balcony right in the trees! A table with 2 chairs and 2 more relaxing type chairs were very inviting for a nice book reading session! Our tree house was far enough away from the main area to not be disturbed and it was extremely quiet. Tree House #2 I believe was a little further beyond ours but no one stayed there during our stay and even if they had we would not have seen or heard anything as it was a fair distance even further back in to the woods.
The cuisine was superb, kudos to the chef and sous chef for a wonderful experience! And we LOVED the dining room and upstairs bar area, just beautiful. Every evening they had a movie presentation on tigers, the park, or other wildlife in the area. It was beginning to get chilly while there so they had a campfire by the movie for warmth and also served appetizers prior to dinner. My boyfriend had tried the local vodka the first day and didn't really care for it so they made sure to go in to town the next day to bring back a bottle of Smirnoff. Funny enough (and we didn't tell them this so they may be reading it for the first time) it ended up not being the vodka that he didn't like but the soda water (out of a bottle, probably just the may it is made and processed in India). So he adjusted his mixer of choice and all was good.
This brings me to a mention of how detail oriented the resort was. Vodka to his liking within 12 hours of the request was just the start. He also really likes Oreo cookies which Ashish (our guide) found out the first day. The staff made sure we had plenty of Oreo cookies in our room. I had also ordered a bottle of wine for our stay and every evening we would come home from safari and the staff had placed a fresh wine glass in our room. I had also mentioned to the reservation staff that if possible I would like to try a custard apple while there (saw them in Hyderabad but didn't get a chance to ever taste one). They had 3 custard apples for us upon arrival which we shared at lunch and dinner.
We also loved their attention to detail with regard to the weather. We are from Arizona so anything below 75F and I am cold. At the movies in the evening they also had blankets as well as at dinner. During dinner they would close the curtains of the open air dining room and brought a small portable camp fire to each table to dine beside. Wonderful! Our early morning safaris included not only blankets but also ponchos. I noted other people from other resorts didn't even have blankets on those early morning drives, we were so lucky. And the BEST PART?!?!! Hot pads! Every evening after dinner we would return to our room with turn down service having already been completed and there would be 2 hot pads filled with hot water warming up our beds. I slept curled around mine every night. AND the hot pads were also warm and waiting for us with the blankets and ponchos on those early morning drives. Note, if you are going to be there during fall/winter/spring plan to pack warm clothing as we were ill prepared for the weather but glad the resort took care of us.
Our tiger safaris were splendid! We saw 4 tigers while there with one of the sightings lasting for about 45 minutes and being quite intimate with the tiger (noted as tiger T 71). But it wasn't just the tigers - the terrain and environment were beautiful and the rest of the animals added so much more knowledge and interest on safari. The monkeys of course were entertaining to watch and the spotted deer were beautiful and graceful creatures, and at times inquisitive. We also saw a jungle cat one morning which was really cool. And a few different types of antelope. It was just so nice being in nature having come from a huge Indian city that even when we weren't seeing tigers we still felt we were having such an amazing experience. Thank you to both Ashish and Jobi for educating us on our game drives and putting so much effort in to finding wildlife, teaching us about it, and also teaching us in general about the forest - the birds, the trees, the plant life.
We had a wonderful candlelight dinner to celebrate our anniversary one evening compliments of the resort. The chef even made us a homemade cake with frosting and candles to celebrate! We truly enjoyed getting to know Chandu and Manbharan better than evening who were the waiters who took care of us. So kind and considerate and genuinely interested in creating a wonderful experience for our romantic dinner. Both were also instrumental at our "regular" lunches and dinners, along with Raj, the dining captain, who went above and beyond. Thank you to not only these 3 wonderful men but also the chefs and everyone else who made sure our dining experience was top notch.
So I leave the best for last. Perhaps it should have been in the beginning but hopefully you are still reading. We made some friends for life, at the resort. Ashish was our naturalist but also the GM of the hotel. He and is wife Nancy were just the most amazing and friendliest people. We truly enjoyed meeting them and getting to know them better. They both have a true passion for the park, the tigers and the other wildlife. Ashish's eyes lit up when within the first hour of our safari on our first day we had an amazing tiger sighting. I could tell his excitement was not just for us, but a love for this awe-inspiring, beautiful creature who graced our presence. He has a connection to these animals that is so important in this day and age when tigers need so much protection to really begin to thrive again. Ashish is someone who I think will be dedicated to this the rest of his life - its good to know there are people like this out there protecting and educating people on these beautiful animals.
Lastly, I want to end by saying thank you to EVERYONE at Tree House Hideaway. Our experience never would have been the same had it not been for the 24 people who work at the resort, many of whom we never saw or met. We wish we could have met everyone as we know how integral of a part they each played in our experience. Thank you!
Amazing service, passionate naturalist, delicious food and great safari !

Our stay was fantastic !!
The lodge employees are amazing, always here to help, share their culture and their stories ! We really enjoyed our chat with Raj Kuma and his colleagues !
The food is DE LI CIOUS ! One night they surprised us by organising an al fresco intimate dinner. We even get to try home made Mahua liquore !
When we left, they nicely packed a box of their lovely home made butter cookies and juice in case we got hungry on our way to Khanna !
Our naturalist, Ashish, who is also the manager, is really inspiring and so passionnate! He makes the rides so interesting even when we were waiting for the tigers. He makes sure there is always something to look at. In this national park, the collaboration between the rangers and the naturalists is great and we got to spot 5 tigers in 2 days and a half ! But it's not only about the tigers, the landscape is really pretty. There is plenty of different kind of deers, wild boars and don't forget your binoculars, the birds are so beautiful !
Note that the park is closed on Wednesday afternoon, but the lodge always have something for you ! We enjoyed the comfy room, went cycling around the village and for a nature walk !
I am now back home and really missing the Tree House Hideaway and its family !
The best place I've ever stayed

We stayed at the treehouse for 3 nights and it was perfect from start to finish.
We didn't arrive until 10pm but the staff were there waiting for us, ready to serve us dinner and show us to our beautiful treehouse. The room was immaculate and the staff did such a good job of the little things like showing you to your room with torches when it was dark and putting hot water bottles in the bed while you're out at dinner so you came back to a snuggly warm bed when it was a cold night. I can't speak highly enough of everyone who works there - such a friendly team who do so much for you.
The safaris were amazing. Our guide Karan was so lovely, knowledgeable and it was brilliant to have him to tell us everything about all the animals, trees, flowers - he knows so much. We saw so many animals, including a tiger and two leopards which were absolutely incredible. They think of everything - blankets for the chilly mornings, yummy breakfast halfway through the safari - they've got it all covered.
The food was also delicious, from lunches to three course dinners to the packed lunch they gave us for the airport on the way home. Such wonderful service.
Thank you so much for everything, we had the most amazing time and can't wait to come back.
