Stayed here almost after an year.
Stay was far more pleasant and I found a definite improvement in services.
Checkin was prompt and my preference for non smoking king size bed was addressed.
Room was well prepared with the right temperature and facilities.
Whole fruit was present in the room and my immediate hunger was taken care of by the mango present in the room.
Wash room is cramped for space but I guess that cannot be sorted out now.
Bed was comfortable and pillows soft.
In room dining was prompt and clearance was even faster. Ordered the Caeser salad which was well prepared and accompanied by dinner rolls. Taste was great. Next day even the Nicoise salad was good.

Only stayed for one night but was very impressed with the quality of the accommodation and the attentiveness of the staff. They were always prepared to make themselves available to make the visit one to remember. Very convenient for the airport, the runway can be seen from the hotel windows. We particularly enjoyed the ability to walk safely from the hotel to the local district. We walked for about 15 minutes to the local train station seeing lots of local life along the way. Great

Plus points:
very near to the airport. Hotel offers a hassle free airport pickup and drop. Courteous and helpful staff. Quiet and peaceful. They do have few smoking rooms.
Minus points:
Rooms are just ok. Nothing to do near the hotel. And the worst is that there is no bar nor any alcohol in the minibar.
F&B department needs to improve. During lunch saw wrong labelling of items which was brought to the notice of Chef but then they insisted that the labelling was correct. Later, they accepted their mistake. Ordered food in the room. Both the ordered items were high in salt.
Otherwise, a decent property if you want to stay near the airport.

I love coming again and again to Chennai to stay in Hotel Trident . very near to airport but on the way to city . very quiet .
excellent service . reception people are very courteous and always ready to help you .
food is excellent and Breakfast spread is adequate with many choices . Rooms are well equipped though they can add more in the mini bar.

I've just (10.06) had the most lovely day in Chennai thanks to the staff in this hotel. I've came for a business trip, and due to certain conditions couldn't leave the hotel, but the service I was provided with was just splendid and I never regretted staying in. The attention they give to detailes and mood of their guests is simply astonishing. As i was seated alone at my lunch, they even brought me a bowl with a small fighter-fish for a company! It touched me to the bottom of my heart. I also had a chance to enjoy the pool and the surroundings in the garden, and it lifted my spirits like nothing else, even cleared the jet lag) thank you guys, I hope to see you again next time!
