We eat here often, never been disapointed. They have a good selection on the menue, and service has always been very good.

Frequent LaTolteca with my family! Staff is always friendly and the service is quick! You NEVER wait long for your food! Highly recommend the table side guacamole! Can't get more fresh!

Wonderful food, fresh ingredients, large portions, and fast, friendly service. We have never waited for a table, with a party of 2 or 4, even when they're crowded. Servers are quick, and helpful. They will make suggestions, when asked, and are happy to accommodate special requests (i.e. peppers on the side, adding shredded cheese instead of cheese sauce, black beans vs. refried beans, etc.).
Servers promptly bring small bottles of fresh salsa (made daily) and baskets of tortilla chips (also freshly made, and warm, and lightly salted) when seated. If the chips run low, they'll bring another basket promptly, before customers run out. The guacamole appetizer, made at the individual tables, is simple, yet delicious (fresh avacado, onions, jalapeño pepper's, and lime juice).
The Sangria is excellent, and reasonably priced. I highly recommend it! We were slightly disappointed by the $1.99 lime margaritas (Tues. night special), they're made with a mix instead of lime juice. We prefer freshly made margaritas with lime juice.
They have a very large menu, almost too many to choose from. My personal favorites are the Carne Arsada Tacos and the Chori Pollo (chicken with chorizo sausage, onions, and cheese, served with tortillas, rice, and beans), it's a large portion (which allows for an excellent leftover lunch the following day)!
My husband tried the Enchilada Loco, as recommended by our waiter - it is one HUGE enchilada which filled the entire, large plate! It was very good & filling, a large flour tortilla stuffed with beef, pork, chicken, black beans, rice, tomato, peppers, and covered in a freshly made (daily) queso fresco (cheese) sauce. We've also enjoyed their fajitas - they offer several varieties.
They have great desserts - flan, fried ice cream, churros, and more. The flan and fried ice cream are our favorites. The only problem ... I usually don't have room for dessert since the portions are so large!
We have visited this restaurant many times as a couple, and as a family. This is a nice restaurant for couples and/or families with children. They have a few tables, with umbrellas outside, which is nice, when the weather is mild. Each and every visit had been a pleasure and we will gladly return!

Really enjoy food. Service is good. Friendly atmosphere. Our favorite Mexican place in Hagerstown. I love fish tacos. Brian enjoys enchiladas.

This is our third time at this restaurant, and as usual it is always a great experience. Very delicious food and large portions. Great margaritas. Great service. Nice atmosphere.
