Very friendly staff who were willing to accommodate our request for a double bed when only singles were available. Much appreciated. The rooms are of standard size and in good state. Bathrooms a bit cramped but have all the necessities. The hotel has a good location in between town and the airport, and is close to the coastal area of Glyfada which is worth a visit. Non-executive rooms have a good sized balcony with a side view of the sea. Breakfast was good too.

We stayed on the 5th floor and had a huge balcony overlooking the sea. The room was very nice and the bathroom was large and private. We had a huge bathtub and a very modern shower. But........the main reason we enjoyed our stay was Maria.....our bartender several nights. She was so sweet and went out of her way to make us feel welcome. She worked so hard the entire time we were there!!! I think she should be complemented on her work ethics. Also, Alexandra at the front desk was very sweet and helpful. She was always with a smile on her face and always greeted us. There was a gentleman who called a cab for us to go into Athens and he was also helpful and nice. The breakfast was quite adequate. Lots of choices and very good. We would recommend the Tropical to anyone. Great location to the beach (across the street) and further down the road were some really nice restaurants on the beach.

This place gets the basics right! Friendly and polite staff; neat and tidy rooms, which are modernly and adequately furnished. Whilst breakfast can be a little improved, mostly in the hot options, the comparatively low prices and its great location should be considered first. Overall, I definitely recommend this place and am already looking forward to my next trip there.

First night here woke up at 2am absolutely sweating as the aircon was not working rang reception to fix it, finally started working to the point where we were shivering and had no other blankets only sheets that were on the bed. Also can't control it from your room, Aircon motor was so loud it took forever to get back to sleep as well as the noisey road out the front (doors were all closed and you could still hear everything outside very clearly!) breakfast was average, dinner was horrid, only a few selected meals were available, frozen meals, no chefs only one waitress having to do everything. No service at the bar during the day nor was the pool open. When checking out staff were rude and didn't explain anything clearly taking the wrong funds out of the wrong cards after we explained plenty of times to her! Tried emailing them when we got back home and they still didn't understand they were in the wrong and kept turning their story around. If you want somewhere nice and welcoming stay at the Poseidon hotel down the road!

This hotel is located on a real HIGHWAY … They call it an “avenue” in Greece but this is a real highway.
If you like hearing cars along the day and the night, it’s your choice …
I guess this hotel should not have the right to operate as an hotel.
