Had a fabulous evening and when we go back to appleby we will definitely be popping back in!
Family Birthday meal
abc123lizon 17/11/2017 23:12Celebrated my husbands 70th last Weekend with a family meal at the Tufton, fabulous meal, great service, thank you to all the staff who made this occasion so special, all pre ordered from the regular menu so lots of different choices, food was well presented & hot.
Great hotel with friendly staff
616LAMon 15/11/2017 18:40We made a booking using a voucher, for a two night break when travelling down from Scotland.
Our plans changed as my mother wasn't very well and they were very helpful arranging a single room for my mother and upgrading us to a suite for no extra cost. This meant we could take mum with us and the added lounge in the suite meant we could all sit together in comfort.
We ate at the hotel both evenings and the food was good, we especially liked the appetizers,the olives,marinated anchovies and the houmous with homemade bread,simply delicious.
We really enjoyed our stay and hope to return soon.
The best of another era
Christopher Gon 30/10/2017 17:29The Tufton Arms remains largely as you would have found it in 1930's but this is a positive as it had a good reputation then and it has one now for really good standards with a family proprietor who is hands on.The Food is excellent and the saddle of lamb served to a large group was outstanding.Staff are charming and helpful. There are a lot of stairs so if you a pensioner ask for a room on the first floor.

Myself9on 12/10/2017 12:57We used a Buyagift voucher, no problems booking including changing the dates of stay after the initial booking.
Much better inside that appears from the outside.
Very nice room looked like the ensuite bathroom had recently been refurbished.
Very pleasant,good breakfast & evening meal.
Would recommend to anyone.
