Overnight stay with 2 dogs...

Stayed 1 night as a stopover from Almeria to Limoges. Arrived Sunday 6pm ish.
10 minute wait at reception, no staff around! Friendly when he did arrive though.
Restaurant closed (I had em beforehand asking about opening times but got no reply so was somewhat annoyed to find no food available) As we had 2 large dogs we could not leave them in room so ended up at McDonald's a 10 minute walk away. Deep joy! Not what you want after a 9 hour drive.
Hotel/room very clean. No smoking policy not adhered to. The corridor smelt something awful. Location was good, near airport & motorways so good access...
Train line behind hotel but if window closed you could not hear them. Truck part on other side with fuel station which was a bonus. Friendly staff...
Overall it was fine for what we wanted. Convenient & easy to find cos its big & red!!
Overnight stay

As the name suggests this is an inn rather than a hotel. Ideal for a night stop over in a good location. The rooms are basic but clean and comfortable. Reception was polite, friendly and efficient. Located in an industrial area there is road and rail noise but not enough to bother most people. Breakfast and dinner is available and for those in a hurry there is a Mcdonald about 5 mins walk away. I would use it again as an overnight stay.
Cheap for Good Reasons

Stayed here one night as a stopover between Barcelona & Pamplona. Served its purpose, but not enjoyable and wouldn't return.
On first inspection looks nice and modern, clean and fresh, but you can instantly identify signs of a substandard stay ahead of you. From poor cheap furnishings to poor maintenance and facilities.
Examples: Room has air-conditioning but only the fan works, so no cooling, and windows don't open. Towels are thin. Lean against the bed head and the bed slides away on the wood floor. Bed pillows are the thinnest & smallest I have ever seen & endured. No tea/coffee facilities in-room. They don't even supply a box of tissues - even the cheap hotels in poor countries like Laos, Cambodia & South America give you tissues.
The location is off the motorway about 10k from the city in a very arid & commercial area. There is a huge modern shopping mall 200m away however it is all but abandoned with only the cinemas and about six shops remaining. Told plans are to convert it to an outlet mall, like seen in USA, but no visible signs of that occurring anytime soon - such a waste.
With the benefits of hindsight we should have driven another 2 hours and stayed 2 nights in Pamplona.
Good Stopover Hotel

This is a good place for a stopover, as we were travelling down to the South of Spain and it is only minutes from the motorway.
It is on the edge of a trading estate, close to the airport.
Rooms were clean and well furnished. The hotel accepts dogs but not in the restaurant.
The evening meal was excellent value for money and the continental breakfast was more than adequate. Will be staying there again on our return journey.

Bathroom is a death trap no non slip mats and open shower had a bad fall result cut head
Asked the desk for a taxi as bar and restaurant closed on Sunday
Said would be around 16 euros
When the car arrived already had
11.50 on the clock result more than 30 euros into town
Breakfast was pathetic coffee machine was not working and coffee from the bar extra
Only good thing was plenty of parking
Think we all know why
