What People are saying
reasonable hotel, far from anything in the city of Brescia

This is a reasonable hotel, with rooms of reasonable size , and with reasonable breakfast, included in the deal. Not more than reasonable, and I doubt whether a 4 stars is what it deserve... I will go to 3 stars. There is nothing in the neigbourhood, except for a great supermarket, which saves your life in the evening, where food is unavailable. Beware the entrance to the bathtub - it is dangerous!!! No aircondition after September - no cooling, no heating. You only can open the window to the street in order to survive...
Best hotel in Italy

UNA Hotel always like my second home. Since 2002 UNA Hotel my choice of hotel when visiting Brescia. Close to stadium supermarket great restaurants gelato shop and subway. My friend like a brother Antonio always there to help me have a fantastic stay. Chiara Fabrizio and the whole staff fantastic. Have vacationed in Italy since 1996 and never seen a hotel feel like home. The breakfast the best in Italy could stay each day for a hour. The rooms very nice and always clean. Thank you Antonio and the staff number one!
A quite nice hotel in an area that's not for everyone

We booked this hotel even though it's a little out of town because there was little choice for our dates and it looked like a good value. It IS a very good value -- the bedroom and bathroom were quite good, but not without some minor plumbing problems. The area is rather suburban and sterile, but the hotel is only steps away from an excellent and frequent little subway that takes you right to the city center. One advantage of its location is free parking -- in fact we are able to park right out front for no charge (if you want secure underground parking there is a fee). The staff were friendly and the breakfast was a pretty decent continental selection, plus some scrambled eggs and bacon for Brits & Yanks :) But these "hot" dishes were - as usual in Italy -- pretty cold.
One note -- the street is fairly busy and noisy, but their windows cut out the noise pretty well when closed.
AVOID! Please read carefully

I have spent a week in Una hotel in Brescia. First of all this is not a 4 star hotel and it does not have facilities of a 4 star hotel like gym, pool, spa as falsely advertised. The only 4 star-ish is the price which is ridiculously high for this kind of services.
The hotel is run down and disgusting from the outside. The rooms are boring with old school furnitures and depressive colours. The carpet is disgusting. Breakfast is very poor with a variety of croissants but limited choices of anything else.
The real problem of this hotel though is its staff. Most of them could barely speak English or didn't speak English at all. Communication was difficult and at times impossible. On arrival we noticed that there were no slippers in the room so we called the reception to ask for two pair of slippers. A guy showed up a few minutes later with two pillows! We explained that we requested slippers but he didn't seem to understand. I had to show him my bare feet. After that he returned with one pair of slippers. We said again that we need two pairs. He gave us an evil look and of course the second pair was never delivered. On day 2 we ran out of shampoo as the housekeeping didn't bother to restore it. So we called the reception. They brought us toilet paper. It was like we were being pranked. Actually it was the worst housekeeping ever. They were inattentive and most of the times they didn't restore toiletries as supposed to. So this triggered everyday a vicious circle of crippled communication with the reception desk. On day 4 I was woken up by the maid who was literally standing over my bed talking to me in Italian. She probably thought that it would be appropriate to enter the room, see me sleeping and then wake me up to ask me something about cleaning the room in a language that I don't speak. Hilarious! Needless to say that the hotel didn't have any kind of room service and the mini bar had only beverages. Nothing to eat at all. The only positive aspect is the location which is close to metro station. But anyway Brescia is a relatively small city and transportation is not a big issue. The wi fi Internet was free but it was damn slow. For such a great deal of money the services were unacceptable. It is really embarrassing for a hotel nowadays not to hire people that can speak simple, basic English. I don't expect the receptionist to have a degree from Oxford University but I expect from someone who works in the hotel industry to know words like slippers, shampoo, receipt, shaving kit etc.
In a nutshell if you are not Italian you should avoid this property as they will give you a hard time with their ignorance at a very expensive rate.
Amazing experience!!!

Most friendly and helpful receptionist ever, so lovely and great first impression of hotel. Everything about the hotel was exceptional. I made a reservation to plan a birthday surprise and the staff was very happy to help. It was clean, stylish, roomy with excellent service. Breakfast surprise in room was beyond good and great value for service. The server Girolamo was attentive and efficient. Room itself was well equipped and comfortable. The entire staff and the director are amazing people and very professional. I hope to be back for a longer visit in the future.
