Stayed here while in town for work. Quaint little hotel in the center of the downtown district within easy walking distance of lots of shops and wine bars. I stayed in a Stickseed room. Room was good, bed comfortable and rustic charm. Consider staying here if you’re ever in town.

This hotel has so much potential to be a unique boutique experience with lots of historic character, however it is sadly rather dated and run-down. The service was a little strange, with a receptionist who was welcoming but only there during day-time hours, and breakfast is just a small table with coffee and processed muffins to help yourself to. The big 4 poster bed was comfortable and fun to sleep in. There was a coffee machine in the room but as there were no cups or coffee we didn't use it, also no drinking water or water glasses provided in the rooms or anywhere in the hotel, we were thirsty and ended up drinking tap water from a swilled out beer bottle. Apparently the hotel is haunted - we did hear a strange noise in the night!!!

Excellent hotel! Clean, charming, friendly and great location. The restaurant is also excellent = service and food are top notch. Have stayed here a few times and will return for sure. Oh, and the drinks are generous and delicious. Thanks for a nice time.

If you tired of the same old corporate hotels then this is the place for you! Well maintained historic hotel in the busy 1st Street district of Benicia. Distinctive rooms all with a Jacuzzi tub and some with great sunset view's over the water. Walking distance to a variety of restaurants and bars on a well lighted and safe feeling street.

Stayed in many a bed and breakfast and so this experience isn't anything new for us. Booked a 2 note stay over the new year holiday but left after one night. Stains and dried food found on the table that holds the microwave Rim of viable dust. between cove molding and carpet. Shower curtain suspended by spring pole (same setup in armoire) Roll away bed stored in room Oh use toilet paper because the room doesn't have tissue. Dirty windows etc etc etc. Internet limited to 2 devices so if you log on with 2 cell phone and then a tablet your out of luck.
