What People are saying

POOR

jckeys on 12/11/2017 23:26

Very disappointed with check-in process, passed on to others to process, made us sit down and wait 10 minutes even though there was no one in line. Rooms are difficult to find, run down, tub by the bed, quirky bathroom set up, past it’s time with pink tile, noisy, and many other poor things like no coffee. Don’t waste your money here!

Emergency Exit!

Of all the RCI-affiliated resorts that I have booked for my family, this is the first one that we checked out of feeling dirty and shamefully disappointed within 24 hours.

There are no redeeming qualities about this property, its location, or the surrounding area. The best thing I can say here is...places like this will remind you of how much nicer other resorts are. This resort is haphazardly constructed along a winding avenue in a low-class suburb. Stray cats, loud "pimp'd out" cars, and a few tramps seems to roam the nearby streets at all hours. The buildings are so disparate that we thought our unit was actually part of a low-budget motel chain.

Admittedly, some of the older properties within the so-called Vacation Village brand need a bit of a re-vamp. The occasional renovation will usually increase the viability of a place by a few years — but time seems to have completely forgotten this woebegone shack. No amount of cosmetic comeuppance will do this dump justice.

I urge any travelers to consider all other options (including campgrounds and abandoned warehouses) before you waste any time or money here.

Heron 1 Stay

We have a Hilton Grand Vacation Club Timeshare and used our exchange company, RCI to book Vacation Village at Bonaventure. We needed accommodations in the area for a family event. Upon checking in, we were assigned to the Heron 1 building. FYI - this building is a mile away from the main resort and is among a residential neighborhood. The pool area here is very nice, not as large or as active at the main pool, but nice. The rooms were fine, I'd say 3 star at best. The rooms are very dated and need an overhaul. We had room 405, both A and B units. The A unit is very dark and a bit depressing with old furniture. The B unit was a much brighter and much bigger, however still needs serious updating. The maintenance man was very helpful when we needed a noisy running toilet tended to, and when a toilet paper holder fell off of the wall. He was kind and knowledgeable. We were told there would be coffee in the "lobby" of our building in the morning, however we only saw it there on Saturday and Sunday. I would much prefer to be at a resort where the buildings are closer together and where a customer could have access to a resort restaurant or market without getting in the car. If you are ok with older accommodations, you may be fine. But for anyone who owns a Hilton Timeshare, be aware these accommodations are much below Hilton standards.

Quiet after hurricanes

Vacation Village is not a hotel, it is a Time Share complex. Expect an intensive sales pitch and take all that's on offer. I always feel angry, cheated or embarrassed after these encounters. If only they would accept no thank you.
That over, the staff were very friendly and helpful, the pool is good as are the grounds.
The apartments are clean but showing their age and the beds and pillows are wonderful. Hot water took a while to get to the taps and the bathroom was too large it was using the loo in a room that was bigger than the kitchen area.
Lots of road noise in fact lying by the pool it sounded like a lot of piston aircraft flying by. Its a bit remote and Weston town centre is a bit of a non centre. Lots of vultures around, honest.

Large, clean but needs an update

Stayed in a one bedroom with a kitchen, dining area, living room, bathroom and balcony. Every room was a good size but furniture needs to be updated! Pull out couch was too worn to use! Pool area is nice and staff are helpful and friendly.
