Superb hotel..a bargain!

My husband and I recently returned from a one week stay at the Vallian Village....let’s just say we would definatly return to this excellent family run hotel.
The first plus is that it is only 10 minutes from the airport. This does result in planes taking off directly over the hotel..but this never bothered us..or anyone else staying there..and they stop at night.
We arrived mid evening at the hotel..quite tired and hungry..to be met by the lovely, ever smiling Xanthe in the reception. She told us to sort out the paperwork later..and she took us immediately to get a meal.
The whole complex is absolutly spotless, cleaned to within an inch of its life every day, all rooms cleaned and tidied every day and fresh towels put out. The pool is equally clean, with plenty of sunbeds for all.
We were half board and found the food Absolutly delicious every day..with the biggest selection of fresh fruit at all meals we have ever seen. The homemade cakes are yummy...cooked by the Mum of this family. Breakfast was continental or a cooked British ...fried and scrambled eggs, little sausages, bacon, beans mushrooms..just lovely. The main meals in the evening varied each day, always tasty, and a couple of vegetarian options.
The hotel is ina peaceful area, surrounded by fields, a five minute walk to a pebbly beach when there are free sunbeds and brollies.
A 20minute walk takes you into the village of Paradisi where there are cafes, supermarkets and little shops.
The bus for Rhodes stops at the top of the hotel road.. literally about a minutes walk.
The one thing that stood out for this holiday was the wonderful staff, most of whom from the same family. Nothing was too much trouble, and all done with a smile and a pleasant word...just lovely people.
If you want a really nice hotel, that’s not too expensive but certainly delivers on every front, then book for the Vallian Village. You will not be disappointed.
Enjoyable, relaxing holiday

We had a lovely late holiday at the Vallian Village. The hotel was spotless and the food excellent. Every single member of staff was friendly and helpful and could not have done more to make our stay enjoyable.
We hope to visit again

This is the fifth year we have stayed at Vallian Village, with each visit being as good as the last, if not better. The hotel is situated in a quiet location approximately 5 minutes taxi ride from the airport. Due to the hotels proximity to the airport planes do fly over frequently but don't let this put you off. The recently refurbished rooms are comfortable and cleaned daily.
The apartments are situated in well maintained gardens and all have either a balcony or terrace. All rooms have a safe and air conditioning which is available for a small additional charge. The pool area is spacious and includes a baby pool and poolside bar which serves Tea, coffee, soft drinks, beer and wine from 10am and spirits and cocktails from 5pm until 10.30pm,when the all inclusive finishes.
The food provided is excellent with plenty of choice including traditional greek dishes.
The hotel has an on-site shop selling drinks, snacks and gifts. Car and bike hire can be made directly from reception. Entertainment is provided 2 days a week, which includes greek dancing and a live band. The family are very accommodating and are like our second family. We have met some very good friends over the years and will be back next year!

Terrible all inclusive

I stayed here in August with my daughter for a short break. Booked because of the excellent reviews for food. Close to airport, but you soon get used to it, not a problem. Rooms nice size, clean. Pool area lovely, plenty of sun beds. Staff friendly enough. That's were the good points end. The all inclusive is a joke. Before 5pm they serve soft drinks and wine that is practically undrinkable. After 5pm, a couple of cocktails and basic unbranded spirits. No snacks in between meals. Breakfast finishes at 9.30am, they ran out of scrambled egg at 9am and said there was no more. So if you miss breakfast, which we did on first morning, due to late arrival, nothing until lunchtime. Lunch and dinner a small self service repetitive salad bar, no soup. A limited choice of hot food, which was very average to say the least, served by one person with a dessert spoon. Washed down with about 60mls of wine, served by the glass and nearly impossible to get a refill, if you wanted one.
We are not fussy and normally can make the best of things, but food is a big part of our holiday experience and we were sorely disappointed. I don't know if the regular chef was on holiday or what, but this did not live up to the reviews other people have left. Unfortunately we were not there the 2 nights there is live entertainment, so very quiet on a night. Also it is a bit isolated so there was no where else to go for food or entertainment.
I am fortunate to go on holiday 4-5 times a year and this is one of the worst hotels (for food) I have stayed in. Sorry but definitely won't be back.
Yearly holiday

This is our 5th consecutive year at Vallian Village and each year changes have been made which have improved the facilities. The rooms are very clean, with maid service every day. The furnishings are modern and the beds extremely comfortable. We stay all inclusive and the food is wonderful, catering for every taste. The family who own and run the hotel have become friends and there is a warm welcome for everyone. The staff are also friendly and helpful. The large pool is set in well kept gardens and there are plenty of sun loungers to go round. The poolside bar is open from 10 a.m. until whenever. There is also a children's pool and small playground, and a full sized tennis court, and an on site shop. It is a 10 minute walk to the pebble beach, where the hotel also provides sun loungers and umbrellas. It is very conveniently near the airport but the sound of the planes never disturbs us in the night, and during the day you soon tune them out. There is also free WiFi in all areas of the hotel. It's an ideal place if you want a relaxing holiday in the sun but car hire is available or there is a bus stop a few minutes walk away. Rhodes town is about a 40 minute bus ride away and well worth a visit.
