Nice people to stay with, plenty of parking is super for a change, comfy room and bed. Pillows not so much, but OK. Out of the busy city, nice breakfast lots to choose from, would stay there again, huge supermarket just a block away. 120 CAN

We stayed here just for one night. The room was pleasant but the bathroom was a bit dated.
We asked for a crib and they gave us a toddler bed that was too low for a small baby. The baby ended up sleeping with us because the bed was good and had a lot of space.
The breakfast was good although it didn't have a lot of variety.
Overall, perfectly pleasant stay for one night.

Nice large room. Beautiful view over the mountaina. Near the centre. 15 to 30 minutes on foot. Nice medium breakfast. The restaurant and breakfast room are at the top of the building and the view is quite beautiful: over the city and over the mountains. Things to improve: only two plugs to charge our devices... and one of them is behind the bedside table! The hairdryer could be better. But this is me, a person who always travels wirh her own hairdryer because hotel ones suck...
The staff is really nice! And this matters!

Regarding that this is a 3 stars hotel, the Vanguarda Hotel is what I call a safe and pleasant choice. The reception is helpful, you can use the Hotel garage for a good price, breakfast was better than expected and it is quite central although the walk back to the hotel is quite steep. The reason I do not choose Excellent instead of Very Good for this review is because the inner decoration is not that nice and the first room I had, although it was a non-smoker room, the smell was so strong I had to ask for a change but the reception was fast and very helpful and somehow I dont blame them for a bad guest smoking in a non smoking room. I would gladly come back even because this region has a lot to visit.

We choose the hotel on a Saturday morning, on booking.com for about 58/night a double room, including breakfast. The hotel is almost on top of a hill, with enough space for parking. The wide view from the room included windmills, farms, hills and far mountains. The room was clean, quiet and warm. We enjoy the croissant from the breakfast, the bread was also good. On Sunday we had the dinner, for 15 euros/person there was free buffet with starters/salad and a good variety of meats (including boar). It was included a good regional wine (no headaches at all, really good wine). The restaurant is on the 4th floor with good views also. The music in the restaurant was quiet and good, a pity Shazam didn't catch it.
It is located at arround 10 min walking from the center.
The internet connection was OK, the personnel was kind, speaking good spanish and english. The bathroom was large, the water had a lot of pressure.
It is a pleasant place to stop, and a good base to explore the surroundings of Guarda.
