I stayed here on 10th April,2017. It's good hotel, looking luxurious but poor maintenance. Even if I don't get any food, restaurant is close, not served any food. We walk to the auto stand for food. But the facilities are very good, I book through mmt, within a budget range, it is super.

Previously Hotel Ritz... I have been seeing this hotel since my school days, 30 years back. It was one of the few hotels coonoor had then snd the only elite stay hotel those days. But with the years passing this hotel has lost its charm and grandeur. Just an ok kind of hotel now with average maintenance. I don't recommend this place.

this is an old hotel with wrong information provided online like 24 hr hot water supply.they didn't provide us hot water for one whole day,on other day they provided hot water for particular timings in the morning from 6 am to 8 am on request only.they have only option of buffet in breakfast.lunch and dinner.they doesnt give food in your room according to your choice if you want to have.

Happy Independence Day..
I am a very frequent traveler and can easily decide what should be recommended to my Followers and what not, because I want you all to see the best I SAW and not to see the worst I have seen.. Follow my channel "PureRev TV" for other reviews with videos too which I recently started.
We traveled last week on Independence Holidays 12-15 Aug, 2016. Rooms are in good condition with basic amenities (TV only Free Channels "LOCAL LANGUAGE CHANNELS" + DD Channels, hot water supplied very rarely( its must because the temperature dips to 6-7 degree Celsius). Hotel is very poorly maintained and stinks too.
Hotel is located on top and is very difficult to reach there if no commute/vehicle, we were 3 couples and girls/ladies literally found it difficult climbing up on "Dark Roads" having no street lights so used "Mobile Torch", if this hotel had good amenities and facilities I could have walked and recommended all my followers.
Hotel staff is not that cooperative especially Receptionists who were invisible almost 90% of the times I needed them or stayed there. Hot water is must if you are leaving in the morning. I called receptionist many times asking when the Hot water is gonna come and they used to console saying in next 10 minutes but after waiting hours we had bath with Cold water (8am-9am). They treated well on the very first day but then after it was all worse, despite many calls they rarely entertain.
Food :
Complementary/Free Breakfast : Idlis/Corn Flakes/Bread Butter & Jam/Omelets with Egg Shells/Milk/Tea/Coffee.
Buffet Dinner (Paid) : Feels costly comparing to market rates if we ordered the same food from market or hotels nearby for 5-6 persons seeing the quality too.
Tables were not clean had Turmeric marks on table cloths and looks were not changed/washed since years.
Catering Staff was good.
While checking out we had to pay the amount for stuff we used which was not the part of our package, the receptionist showed huge bill and when we asked for the detailed bill we came to know that we were charged for the stuff we didn't order and you know height was "The Bills were OLD, 2 months back for the same rooms 102, 103, 104" then we settled with minimum amount so be careful.
Overall experience was average and would suggest you to search more to get the best.

The most peaceful and comfortable stay I've ever had in Ooty, considering the fact its located in Connor. Rooms are well designed and maintained. Food in the restaurant is good as well. The Lawn could have been better.
