Disappointing
Stephan Con 11/04/2017 19:18My daughter and I stayed in the balcony room, and the view was great! Free parking just in front of the hotel is very convenient too. However, the hotel is rather old, the rooms are stuffy and the service below expectations. They had a water outage for 1 day and a Wifi outage for the other day we stayed here - which can happen - but they didn't offer to compensate us in any way. Disappointing.
Cinque Terra Area
Anna Pon 02/01/2017 12:29We stayed at Hotel Venere Azzurra in Lerici for 5 days as a family of 4. Two adults, and two young teenagers. We loved it! Beach is directly across the road and the walk through the little village area was fabulous with lots of restaurants. The hotel was clean and refreshing with rooftop breakfast.
To get the boat to Cinque Terra, it was a 10min walk. Perfect place to base yourself to visit the surrounding regions of Italian Riviera.
Highly Recommended.
Perfect View - good Wlan - good Beds
DerBewerteron 31/10/2016 10:01Most important: set your expectations. This is a "cheap" Hotel and so are the rooms: they are not very spacious, the furniture is oudated and the bathroom is functional but not nice to look at.
However, keeping in mind, that this is a "cheap" Hotel it is a Star. The view is one of the best we ever had (we stayed later at a hotel closer to Lerici downton, the view was also good but did not have the "mix" which made this one so attractive). The staff was helpful and friendly.
The breakfast was typically for Italy - not better but also not worse in comparison to other (even more expensive) Hotels.
I think, that the financial possibilities are very limited for the owner to modernize the Hotel. But, what does not need huge investments is done by the owner. Example: the WLAN is fast enough to watch Netflix - which was in a 3 Star Hotel just a few hundred meters further downtown not possible.
There is one little improvement, which I would wish and this is to add a few more international TV stations and get them arranged by language.

The only bad things were the Wifi what did not work most of the time and that the door buckles were loose in most of the rooms. The breakfast was nothing special but it was ok for that price.
Room with a View
Maurizio Lon 26/07/2016 23:28We participate at the LerICYFF indoor-cycling event annually in Lerici, which is held in one of the piazzas in town. For our trip to the LerICYFF 2k16 event this year, we stayed at this quaint hotel with a lovely sea-side view from the room.
Although perhaps dated in the garnishings (it is hard to find a hotel in Liguria which isn't), the hotel was lovely and clean and well-situated with respect to the Venere Azzurra beach (right in front) and a short walk from the historic centre of town.
The room was spacious (by standards in Liguria), the bathroom clean and the shower water hot and plentiful. The frigo-bar in the room was well-stocked, and the balcony overlooking the waterfront was excellent, offering a breath-taking view of Golf dei Poeti, The air-conditioning was fully functional and efficient.
Breakfast is served in the breakfast room on the second floor with the same lovely view of the seaside. There was no parking directly on the hotel premises, but there was a special flat-rate available at a lot only a few minutes away walking-distance.
The staff was courteous and efficient. Prices were aligned with the other hotel services in the area.
I think we shall definitely come back on our next visit to Lerici for the LerICYFF event next year!
